I'm not familiar with all of those Whitney songs, but "My Love Is Your Love", "Didn't We Almost Have It All", "I Will Always Love You", and "Exhale" are certainly excellent picks!

not many up-tempo's in that bunch, though. it that because you've never been a fan of her up-tempo's, or because you're (understandably) not quite in the mood for up-tempo's after her passing?

I looove her uptempos too.. but at this time, i wasn't feeling them. Maybe next week when I processed her death.

No, it's not too much. Whitney was my alltime favourite star in the years 1992-1994 (until I discovered Mariah). So losing her feels like losing the world. I love her and I celebrate her career this week. I don't know yet, if any other songs by other artists than Whitney will be able to get into my weekly top 20. But they are def. not excluded from the ranking.

I guess you were born in 1994 Timmy? I think that younger people cannot understand how someone can be that crazy over a celebrity. But I experienced her peak. I still remember the times when NO ONE could touch her popularity. I mean today people think 21 and Adele are huge.. back in 1992/1993 Whitney's popularity and fame was 10 times higher!

aaw. me too. I love Whitney, forever. She still own the entire top 10. I will release my final chart for the week tomorrow. I can also confirm that Whitney sets a new record on my albums top 10 chart too (since 2004) with at least 5 entries.

-- Whitney Houston beats Michael Jackson who placed 12 songs in my Top 20 in 2009 after he had died. Whitney extends this record by 6 songs and only leaves one free spot for pop queen Madonna and it-girl Katy Perry. In an extended top 40 Whitney would add another 11 songs. Whitney establishes another record this week, as 6 albums re-enter my albums top 10. Michael Jackson placed 4 albums in the top 10 after his death in 2009. She was my first favourite singer of all times and I will never forget the joy I felt when I listened to her latest hit or when I watched her latest adventure at the movies. She was a complete entertainer and had the greatest voice that has ever been recorded. I'm her biggest fan, forever! --

so many fantastic Whitney songs <3 I actually couldn't stand "My Love Is Your Love" when it was a big radio hit here back in '99, but over the past couple years it's really grown on me and become one of my favorite Whitney songs.
