My early memories are Whitney's My Love Is Your Love, Step by Step, I Will Always Love You etc. Bodyguard. I still can't watch it. I'll cry my eyes out.

I just hate when some celebrity dies and ppl are like"why you care beacuse *celebrity* died when today people got killed there, or when ppl there died becuse of that....

I will not ofcourse comment why somone care for certin celebrirty death or how we are thouched by it, but those people are such hypocriticals, they wouldn't even care about who died and where and woudln't spent 2 seconds of their time thinking about it.. they are just saying it for hating, or to attract attention...

Unfortunately to so many people under 25, she is better known for Being Bobby Brown, "crack is wack" and the Mad TV sketches than for being a phenomenally gifted vocalist. My bf is 24, he doesn't get it, his mom does.
I think you could be right. I'm 24 too, and while her death was sad (as anybody's death is), I'm not THAT upset. Most of the people I know aren't that fussed either. I do understand why people would be devastated though.

Yep, I notice a lot of people my age (32) and around that 30-40 range who generally remember her at the height of her career were very upset about it. Its more a generational thing I suppose. Just like I don't know very many people my age who were torn up when Amy died... there was a large "such a waste of talent" feeling, but Whitney and Michael were punches to the chest because we remember them from such an early age and grew up alongside their careers (ok, MJ was a star a decade before I was born, but still, he reached his apex in my lifetime) and its hard to believe they're gone because we were able to witness their greatness firsthand.

I'm sure they'll be able to have a better life, as I live on the fourth floor in a trendy apartment block. But it still hurts. WAHHHHHH.

btw, I wasn't saying younger fans couldn't have also felt the sting of Whitney's death, I've seen teenagers here who prove this (and I knew a 37 year old who was heartbroken over Amy). I just meant as a whole in terms of the way you see the age groups' responses to her. Usually the "so Whitney's dead, who cares?" people are generally those who don't really remember a time before the trainwrecks. Same happened when a 19 year old at the time made a "Michael Jackson's dead, who gives a ****" video on YouTube.

Yes I agree and they are probably people who weren't fans of Whitney or Michael or that type of music. There are also the people who crave attention and want to get a load of likes for a facebook status so they stand up for the ordinary person who doesn't get the big celebrity funeral making out that they really care about the person who dies from war or famine or disease when in reality they don't usually give them a second thought! It's all just for the attention on facebook which is absolutely pathetic.

This guy is such an asshole, and I notice he's still responding venomously to MJ fans calling him out

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4rPU_CfguM

Such a narrowminded tool. If you're going to try to compare MJ to artists to show why he's "not as good", what's the point of comparing him with metal artists? At least go for someone like Stevie Wonder or Prince or even R. Kelly or someone else in the vein that you may think made superior music, instead or proving that he has a narrow view on music and likes ONE GENRE and makes ridiculous apples and oranges comparisons. All this clip did was make him look like an elitist tool. He cried that some metal artists' death didn't get half the attention. Hmm, maybe when Ozzy Osbourne or Gene Simmons dies, it might very well.

On the other hand, I totally hate how after Michael and now Whitney's death, everyone suddenly was a fan since forever and everyone knows everything about their career.

I was told I am an ignorant person without any knowledge in music the other day, just because I said to someone 10 years younger than me that "I Will Always Love You" is a Dolly Parton song.

My sister came to visit us and brought her dog. It's interesting to see how our cat and her dog are trying to get along.... Two drama queens. Priceless.

Whitney Houston's Miracle is about abortion.

I never noticed it before...until I stopped listening to her voice and listened to the lyrics...
I can feel this light that's inside of me, growing fast into a bolt of lightning. I know one spark will shock the world...
