^^^ You don't remember very well then, BTW, Judas and EOG were all top ten hits. 8-) Album is doing well too, even now without a hit single in UK for months. But I agree Rihanna had more success in UK and deserved the award.

Loved Adele's reaction to incredibly rude treatment from Brit bosses. How ridiculous, it's not like she had this long speech, she barely said 2 sentences.

These award shows are getting worse and worse when it comes to this, it's all about ads every 5 minutes.

you're right, I forgot Judas peaked at 8 and TEOG on 6th place

I agree it's getting worse and worse... at least there were great performances by Florence, Adele and Rihanna made show too... I liked her performance...

And I don't get it, why there's no anymore best international album?! and they should have category for best international single as well...

now if it had been rihanna that had been cut off and she stumps a middle finger i bet you my right testicle the media would be all over her and saying how she is setting a bad example to kids all over the UK blah blah sigh

^^ I think Adele comes across as someone really natural and spontaneous and that's one of the reasons why the reaction is not negative plus the fact it was very stupid of them to interrupt her. She's like this people's person and that's why pretty much everyone likes her.

+ This year's Brits ceremony has been the most watched one since 2005. It's obvious that everyone wanted to see Adele's big comeback. She also won the main award, so it was more than rude to interpt someone who actually attracted more viewers.

Loved the staging this year. Good performances from Florence & The Machine, Olly Murs, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds , Adele and Rihanna (she's got much better at performing that, the end was a bit weird though).

No surprise winners this year, Adele had to win hers really.

I know he's never been known for his voice but Damon Albarn sounded bad! Blur were OK, wish they'd done more songs - "Girls And Boys" could've been shorter.

Ed Sheeran really bores me when he's live. Didn't like Bruno's arrangement of that song but he was awesome vocally.

So awkward for Emeli Sandé, I'm sure most people know who she is but to play a ten second clip of "Heaven" then a one second clip of her just sitting there with her award before cutting to Jessie J with barely a mention of Emeli was awful.

Obvious 1D would win Best Single with their army of obsessives. Didn't really want Ed to win Breakthrough, Jessie or Emeli would've been better.

Fantastic for Lana, she seemed so quiet and nervous though! will.i.am is a tit.

The Whitney and Amy tributes were nice little touches.

What was Ricky from EastEnders doing there?

Exactly!
Disagree! They've been around over 20 years! Acts like Eurythmics and U2 were in a similar position when they won.

Completely forgot they'd dropped Outstanding Contribution last year!

That was really disrespectful to Adele, Blur got to ramble on for ages when accepting their award. British Album is meant to be the big one so they could've spared two more minutes for her! Didn't notice the finger first time round!

Blur - well, Damon was awful. Terrible speech

Ed Sheeren was terrible all round, rubbish song, rubbish speech and he's ginger!

Rihanna was boring

Coldplay were a let down

Olly Murs was good though and ofcourse Sir Noel

Emeli Sande is apparently upset that her Critics' Choice Award win was overlooked at The Brit Awards 2012 on Tuesday (21st February).

Sande is said to have skipped her record label EMI's after party after being 'too upset' to attend, with The Sun reporting the 24-year old felt her achievement was "not properly recognised" by ITV in order to keep the TV running schedule tight.

Instead of speaking to the Heaven hitmaker about winning the gong, James Corden instead interviewed last year's Critics' Choice winner Jessie J - cutting Emeli out of the ceremony.

A source told The Sun: "Emeli deserved her moment in the limelight in front of her peers, the industry and family.

"She'd been looking forward to it for months and was really disappointed when her win was not properly recognised.

"She's worked incredibly hard over the last year and what she has achieved has been phenomenal."

Speaking of Emeli's early exit from the bash, a separate source told The Metro: "She decided to just go home. It was meant to be the biggest night of her life but for some reason, they panned from her to Jessie. Emeli didn't get any face time at all."

Sande's debut record Our Version Of Events is currently No.1 in the UK album chart, while her track Next To Me is sitting pretty at No.2 in the singles countdown.

The insider added: "Her album is number one and she won the prize. What's the point, if you're not going to celebrate? She was gutted."

Emeli wasn't the only UK songstress annoyed by The Brit Awards, with Adele flipping her middle finger after her acceptance speech for Best British Album was interrupted by Corden when he was told the show was "over-running."

She has written the best tracks on her debut album on her own. So I don´t doubt she could write most of her songs. She also plays many instruments and has credits as a producer in some of her tracks. Not that she needs it at all - being an exceptionally good singer that receives standing ovations everytime she sings is already enough. And Rolling In The Deep is the best song to have surfaced in recent times, wether you agree with it or not. It´s different then anything else on the radio, and the contrast between the main voice and the backing vocals at the brige and the chorus is pure genius work. This is a classic that will be remembered for decades to come.

It was too recent for them too - i said another five years. Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame waits 25 years. That seems right to me. So another three years.

Spice Girls was only 14 years later!

The disrespect shown to Adele, Emeli Sande and Amy Winehouse all because they wanted to move the show forward as fast as possible was awful. The show should have started at 7:30.

Mind you, anyone remember 1988 when Rick Astley won Best Single but as he was sitting too far from the stage and they were running over, they went straight to The Who who were the Outstanding Contribution? http://www.brits.co.uk/britstv/1988-bes ... ick-astley

The BRITS site has lots of fascinating clips from the early televised years 85-87 that i hadn't seen before.

That site is a treasure trove! I've been watching some of the clips. I remember watching the 1987 awards as a 13 year old and nearly putting my foot through the telly when a-ha didn't win Best International Group

This show is full of adverts eh?!

Awful show in my opinion.

I don't get the Mastercard thing. Are they sponsors? If yes, why are the Brits, named their Album of the year "Mastercard Album of the Year"?

I don't get it.
