"Deuces" is his best song to date IMO.

Chris Brown now has regained his presence to help bring back real R&B and still get a crossover hit with it... but yet again he chooses to take the easy option by making a straight up pop tune (average like the rest of them)!

Well, I don't really blame Chris for doing a Pop song because he's one of the first people who have done that along with Rihanna back then before anyone else doing it.

Anyway, for the R&B fans...
Touch Me (feat. Se7en) [snippet].

Chris tweeted the lyrics a few weeks ago.

I agree that Chris Brown had pop appeal and had success in the pop charts going back to 2005, but he didn't made straight up pop music. I would say he made either R&B or R&B/Pop music if you get what I mean.

If you look at all his singles, I would say the first time he made a straight up pop song was Yeah 3x and that is obviously after all the backlash against him. He has since made Beautiful People and now Turn Up The Music which again are straight up pop songs... but prior to that I dont believe he "made pop music".

I think you could say Forever was straight pop... but I've never seen it as a straight up pop song.

From his discography the ones I would say people might debate are (all of which I would say are R&B/Pop):
Run It, Yo (Excuse Me Miss), With You, Crawl, She Aint You, Next To You.

I think similarly you could say the same thing with Usher (where imo his first straight up pop song was OMG)!

I don't mind him doing the occasional pop song when they're amazing, and they all have been to date. Turn Up The Music is quite awful, however.

THIS!
"Take A Bow"... Rihanna's ONLY ballad to go #1 on the Hot 100 (also topped the R&B Chart)... Great deed for her most epic ballad!!!

I was impressed with F.A.M.E however I just hope Fortune delivers and is not some kind of rushed job of an R&B album, Turn Up The Music is a safe choice, safe as in predictable pop dance song, you hear on the radio these days, what any artist could bring out atm, Taio Cruz comes to mind for example.

However it's not an instant stand out Chris Brown smash to me, Yeah 3X took me a while to get into, TUTM slightly better on 1st listen but it hardly leaves me wanting to turn it up, let alone download it, I'm a huge fan of CB's music when he gets it right.

He's performing at the All Star Game. Nicki's performing "Starships" too, I heard.

This era has been starting so far so great.

I thought the charts were looking convincing recently with the likes of Gotye and Lana Del Rey topping the charts. Then THIS, Part Of Me and Starships came along. :x
Got a bottle of whatever but "Let's Get In This Truck" wtf

Saw the video for Turn yesterday. Seriously, he needs to get over mattrix and acrobat moves. He looks stuck in those position in all his videos and live shows
I get the feeling this is rushed. Not enjoying this era!

Is this album really being released on March 27th? I saw that date mentioned but I don't see it available for pre order on amazon.com or any of those other sites yet. Strange.

I really love "Strip" and "Touch Me" but that horrible new single he has out.....Jesus. He needs to turn that noise down or turn it off completely, not up.
