Jealousy is one helluva drug.
I can feel this light that's inside of me, growing fast into a bolt of lightning. I know one spark will shock the world...

This argument would've made more sense in 1999, when boybands were everywhere. Now there might be one or two kicking around, but nothing like the day when BSB and N'Sync were dominating

Oh god, the boyband era. Pretty much every girl friend that I knew had N'Sync or BSB and they were everywhere like today's superstars. But thank god the hype didn't more than 5 years.

Who cares. After a few years, people move on and forget them.

Backstreet Boys were fcuking huge and now they can't sell records.

I never became a fan of any boybands although Westlife was probably the one that i really liked in early 00s. But FACT, many of boyband's songs are great and catchy! Not only uptempo jams, but they have some good love ballads as well! What's wrong?

Whaaat??
I've never ever, really NEVER, met a gay guy who likes boybands!
do you remember when Backstreet and N'Sync were huge? I knew more gays into them in 1999 than Britney. Britney didn't really get big with gays until about her third or fourth album, before that people saw her as a new Debbie Gibson
Exactly me too, I know a lot of gay guys who love BSB, Five and N Sync.

Lol I remember one episode of Ugly Betty in which she made fun of Mark(a Gay character) in a "guess- what-I-like game" they were playing, he said what's my favourite band, she went "N Sync".

I think females are the driving force behind boybands, and gay males are more into the girl groups and the female divas. As for Britney, she was marketed towards different age groups: young teen boys, young teen girls, mature men, etc.

In my time it was East 17 vs Take That. I liked East 17 lol. I also liked NKOTB, 5ive and some songs from most other boybands.

Why they destroy eachother. Well, I think all of them either end up having members thinking they can sustain a solo career with "serious" songs which usually doesn't happen (Take That were the obvious exception) or, for some weird reason, they try to crack the R&B market which definitely doesn't work (Justin and, once again, Take That are the exceptions)
