"sweetie, let me turn down the volume on my son's heart monitor so I can focus on you better"

Loved that no one knew anything about Tom too.
Cougar Town probably wont be getting any Emmy's. Emmy voters dont like the show. Plus it isnt critically acclaimed over here in America. :(
Emmy voters don't like it, but after the first season critics totally embraced it.
The current season is getting amazing reviews so far !
Season 1 score on Metacritic - 50
Season 2 score - 75
Season 3 score so far - 80 (which makes it one of the highest rated comedies of this season).

I blame ABC for treating it like a redheaded stepchild and keeping it off the lineup so long

  @ the shade towards redheaded step-children. Ouch.

This season has been pretty flawless so far. To be fair, it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if the show did end after this season (obviously I'd rather it didn't) as it has had a brilliant three years (comparable to the amazing Arrested Development) with little dip in quality, and will go down as a brilliant comedy. I'm sure Bill & co. knew that this might be the last season so have probably wrapped it up quite nicely.

I rather have this show end on top than on bad.

"Sons of Scotland" I'm not normally a massive fan of Andy but the Braveheart stuff was great.

Another top episode. Sarah Chalke looks like she'll fit right into the show. Is it wrong that I find Bobby really attractive?

Laurie was hilarious:

“Know who looks great in racer briefs? Probably? Wade, my Army boyfriend. Who is, fingers crossed, super dark black. Blacker than space!"

Plus the Twitter roleplay between Grayson and Ellie of Laurie's conversation was hilarious.

ABC sure were spinning these low ratings oday. They have one the the best spin departments in the business! I’m always amused with the ABC spin-factory but this one is ridiculous.

OK, I recently signed up to LoveFilm and I've watched the entire first two seasons of this in 5 days.

I'm unemployed but I can't decide if that makes the above statement better or worse.

In any case, this show is freaking hilarious. It's very Scrubs-y with it's randomness, pop culture references, it's complete non-sequitors and catchphrases.

They're all brilliant. And I want a Bobby Cobb Penny Can, so that me and my mates can waste hours and hours just to be able to finally say [high-pitched]penny caaaannn.

That episode was amazing. Probably one of my all-time favourites. It was just nice to see the whole ensemble work do one storyline for the episode. Really brilliant and funny.

Loved all the Scrubs cameos at the end too.

OMG YES! All the Ellie/Jules scenes were great.

The whole episode was so quoteable:

“It’s one of those unexplainable things like magnets or volcanoes.”

“Tell him to call her chunky next. Chicks love that. Call her a chunky bitch!”

Jules: “You know, wearing this headset makes me look like Sigourney Weaver in that movie with the alien.”
Ellie: It was called Alien.
Jules: “No. I’m thinking of a different movie.”

...and my absolute favourite:

“To me, people are just bags of skin that slow down my day.”

Yep. What's going on with Tuesdays as of late. Shows ratings on each network keep dropping except for NCIS.

they aired the first episode of season 3 and I noticed that this is more like Friends in the suburbs now, which is cute but I prefer the earlier episodes of the series before they became a 'gang'

Laurie is still the best

I didn't think this one was as good as the others (they tried to fit in too much IMO).

Loved the therapist scenes, plus Grayson and Jules deciding who the therapist thought was narcissistic was hialrious.

There was some kind of Dancing With The Stars recap episode last night. (because DWTS is clearly SO hard to follow - you dance, you leave)
