it would be amazing!
This Tour is not going to outsell U2 latest tour: forget it!
It will surely surpass the Sticky, though: which would be GREAT: and will write another piece of music history in the record book!!

On the other hand Gaga is going to have a huge tour too: she is likely going to surpass Celine, who held the record for the 2nd most succesfull Tour for a female act, but who knows if she has a chance to compete with Madonna too: it will be a tough battle considering Gaga is going to start an "endless" tour.

Gaga is not going to start an endless tour...it is going to be much shorter than Monster Ball...it had to be about 450 dates at the beginning but now it seems something more than 110...so...and Gaga is not selling out Stadiums...don't think she can compete with Madonna at this time.

She'd have to book upwards of 220 dates to gross the $280m that Celine grossed, which she currently hasn't done.

But Gaga is such a workhorse, that it wouldn't surprise me if she did book 220+ dates.

I don't think she's going to outsell Celine.

Anyway, what's the total number of dates for MWT so far? Many were added so...

How do you come to this conclusion? So it let suppose she is going to charge cheap average ticket price, because from what I see she is selling well: already 370.000 tickets sold for the Australian & Oceanian dates alone.

Based upon an average gross of around $1.27m per show, she'd need to sell 220 dates to gross $280m. Of course, she could do more than that.

Her Australian success is indeed remarkable.

Gaga can never sell out an arena in Istanbul, let alone a stadium. Hell, even U2 couldn't sell out their gig here. Queen M is still ruling Turkey :D

They certainly didn't sell out their concert here, considering the stadium has a capacity of almost 80.000 people and they released more than 54,000 tickets. There were still lots of tickets available on the day of the concert. And many tickets were given out prior to the concert.

If the show was labelled as sold out it means that 54'000 have been the tickets put on sale!

Madonna sold over 74,000 tickets for her Wembley show; Take That however sold nearly 86,000 tickets and U2 sold 88,000. Does that make Madonna's show any less of a sell out because she didn't sell every seat out?

Of course not; a sell out concerns itself only with the tickets that the promoter puts on sale. And U2 sold out Istanbul.

Yeah but believe me, the show was far from sold out. A good friend of mine worked in the organization of the concert and they were shocked that they expected more ticket sales. Also i have a journalist friend who attended the concert learnt that 40.000 people were there that night.

The media is speculating about a second show but i don't think they will do it. The promoter here wants to do a second show but it's up to Madonna and her team. Since she won't give any concert on Friday, it can be on Saturday but it would be too risky i think.

Eh eh you said the same also when the tickets were put on sale for the first date claiming the show could be cancelled for poor sales

Will you attend also the second date if they added,Spiritboy?

On her Facebook page, there's a poll where you can vote for the song you want her to perform on the tour off the "Madonna" album.

I voted for "Holiday". One of my favorite songs by her, and I need it in the setlist. Same goes for "Ray of Light" and "Like A Prayer" by the way.

I would like to but at this point i don't know whether i can afford another GC/Early Entry ticket. I know i won't go GA for sure, it might sound stupid :)
