http://gawker.com/5892072/the-real-perf ... it-bad-boyThe Real Perfect New Pop Song Is This K-Pop Hit, ‘Bad Boy’
Some here at Gawker argue that Canadian Power Puff Girl Carly Rae Jepsen's 'Call Me Maybe' is the new perfect pop song. While I have listened to that song twelve times in a row today, I have to disagree: 'Bad Boy,' by K-pop boy group Big Bang, is even more perfect. It's so perfect it transcends language.
'Bad Boy,' the first music video from Big Bang's new album Alive has the group twirling around underneath the JMZ subway tracks in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, dressed in outfits that would draw stares even in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. (Why, for instance, does G-dragon, Big Bang's leader, have half a bath mat sewed on the back of his jacket?) But the weird outfits obscure a perfect pop R&B song, with delightfully tag-teamed verses that make you wonder why we haven't had a hit boy band in the states since the beginning of the Bush Administration.
South Korea has been churning out K-pop groups like Big Bang and Girls Generation with scary proficiency, gradually conquering most of Asia with a potent blend of R&B, European dance music and hairspray. K-Pop boy groups inspire a frenzy in their fans that puts most Beliebers to shame. One fan's exhaustive catalogue of more than two-dozen groups' average height took over the Korean web, and fans donated 12.7 tons of rice to charity to honor of the launch of Big Bang's 2012 world tour. Now that hip hop mogul Swizz Beatz has signed a collaboration deal with one of South Korea's biggest entertainment companies, K-pop might conquer America, too. I don't expect the giant crystal skull pendant thing from the video to catch on, though.
http://www.allkpop.com/2012/03/gdtop-to ... se-releaseBig Bang‘s G-Dragon and T.O.P will be featuring in English artist Pixie Lott‘s new album.
The boys lent their voice for the track “Dancing On My Own” on Pixie Lott’s upcoming Japanese version of her album "Young Foolish Happy" that drops on March 21st.
The news was reported through Universal Music Japan‘s official website. As soon as pre-sales for the album began, the fans noticed ‘GD&TOP‘ written next to track 8, “Dancing On My Own”.
It goes without saying that their feature on the song significantly raised expectations for Pixie’s new album.
Pixie Lott was born in 1991 and debuted in 2009 with her single “Mama Do“, which climbed high on the charts along with her follow-up track “Boys And Girls“.
Meanwhile, G-Dragon and T.O.P of Big Bang made their debut in Korea as ‘GD&TOP’ in 2010, and became an instant sensation with their songs “Oh Yeah” and ‘High High“.
Netizens eagerly awaiting to hear the collaboration track remarked, “So excited to hear Pixie Lott and Big Bang together,” “I can’t wait for the song to come out!”, “So curious as to how it will sound,” and “Buying this new album for sure!”
Here's the episode they're on:Lee Hyori once again showed off her considerable humor by poking fun at Big Bang member T.O.P‘s flirting technique.
On the March 18th broadcast of SBS‘s “Lee Hyori and Jung Jae Hyung’s You & I“, Big Bang made a guest appearance to promote their 5th mini-album, ‘Alive‘.
On the program, the members were asked about the various ways in which they flirt with women that they like. To this, leader G-Dragon replied, “If there is a girl that I find attractive, I actively approach her.” He added that he tries to show manliness through the expression in his eyes.
Daesung on the other hand said that he approaches with a strong opening line, “It’s our first time“. He said, “When I say that, the girl obviously replies, ‘What is?’, which gets the conversation moving naturally.”
T.O.P shared, “In my case, I walk by the girl and put my cell phone in her back pocket“. Lee Hyori immediately pounced and joked, “But then you end up touching her butt!“, to which T.O.P found himself completely unable to respond as everyone laughed. He quickly tried to recover by saying, “Then I will put it in her front pocket” but he was already the butt of everyone’s jokes by that point.
As the interview continued, member Taeyang said, “I am really bad with this kind of thing, so I just say, ‘Seungri, I want her’ and let the members do the work for me.”
Finally, it was Seungri’s turn to answer but T.O.P stepped in and demonstrated Seungri’s flirtation by acting it out. He depicted Seungri by intensely checking out a girl from head to toe, to which Seungri protested, “When did I ever do that?”

In March, Big Bang was nominated for in the “Best Fan” category for the “MTV Italy TRL Awards 2012“. They had some tough competition against Alessandra Amoroso, Avril Lavigne, Emma, and One Direction. However, when the dust was all settled, Big Bang came out on top! This was confirmed through MTV Italy’s official TRL Awards website and also a tweet by Taeyang on his official twitter:

VideoWe previously reported that Big Bang‘s G-Dragon and T.O.P were featured on the track, “Dancing on my Own” for English artist Pixie Lott’s Japanese version of the album, ‘Young Foolish Happy’. Well, it seems there could be more collaboration between Pixie Lott and K-pop artists in the near future.
Pixie Lott recently participated in an interview with XIN MSN in Singapore where she mentioned K-pop and Big Bang. In the interview, she stated how she discovered K-pop in Japan and thought it was fresh and futuristic, how she later found about Big Bang and thought they were really cool and nice guys after collaborating. She also stated that she would like to find more about K-pop and participate in more Asian collaborations.
