Did she mention something about the album? What did she say?Vindrag wrote:For me, her performance is the what made the song stand out in the first place. And it's very important for Loreen as well... I read a very interesting interview with her in the local paper this morning!

Then there was another part which I can't find online, but she also mentioned how she feels that Globen is enough but that she'll do her best to represent Sweden if the people choses her. She's not content with how they treated poor people in Baku only to build the new arena. Which I fully agree with.It took Loreen seven years to shake off the Idol label and now she's predicted to win Melodifestivalen.
If the digitan online store iTunes is hint on how Melodifestivalen will finish then its obvious that Loreen is winning the competition. Her song "Euphoria" is at number #1 och ranks high as well on the Finnish and Norwegian charts. Loreen herself, however, is happily unaware about the favoritism because she rarely surf the net and she tries to "handpick her information". She focuses inwards, to try and convey herself better to her audience.
Swedens biggest music-competition means more than just three minutes on TV.
It took Loreen almost seven years to release new music after the talent show Idol. And that's the reason why last years "My Heart Is Refusing Me" is more than a Melodifestival-debut, she says:
- I don't think anyone understands how much that song means to me. I have worked hard for many years to manage and hold on to my beliefs. I wrote something that was "my story" and the audience confirmed it to me that they liked it. Originality is the best policy, she says.
If you think it's hard to assemble the picture you got of Loreen from Idol with the sharp artist you see on stage now, then you're not alone.
- Back then I only wanted to please everybody. So when they told me that I sounded great as a blues-girl then I just said "yes" and thought that was my path. There was a lot of information that was thrown at me during my Idol period. For each show I sounded worse and worse, because I got further away from who I was and what I wanted to do. But I think I needed that experience to understand afterwards what I wanted to do and why I wanted to do it.
This is also the reason to why Lorren was sceptic about participating one more in Melodifestivalen. "Euphoria" was presented to her by songwriters Thoimas G:son and Peter Boström.
- I wanted to do my own songs and write because I felt that I had something to say and convey to people. But I felt an instant connection to the song (Euphoria) and that was enough. A good song is a good song no matter who presents it to you. In other words, it was time for me to put my ego aside.
Although the final is only a few days away Lorren seems very calm about it.
- There is a reason to why I use the colors I use, the movements I do, that I don't wear any shoes and that my performance is stripped down. We live in a society where we are constanly fed with new information. If you look at many other performances in Melodifestivalen then there's layers and layers of information: the artist, the dancers, fan, lights, smoke machines. I want to give the viewers a chance to experience something unique.
