The video itself. It is so...corny. I mean, the cause is noble but you can note how this guy (the one making the film) really adores the attention hes getting.

I watched this at like 11.30pm last night after watching a light-hearted movie... wrong move!

It is incredibly inspiring. For me, anyway.

I've read a fair bit of this 'for and against' Kony 2012 stuff. Valid points made on both sides, for sure.

At the end of the day, if you believe what the campaign is doing and what they're setting out to achieve, then support them. If you don't, then don't. It's pretty simple.

You would be incredibly hard-pressed to find a charity or non-for-profit org that you could 100% agree with - if you knew the ins and outs of its political and financial agendas. Not to be cynical, but its true. Charities have to make business decisions too and you'd be surprised by some of the things they choose to spend their (donated) money on.

People have had reservations like this for everything from World Vision to the SPCA. Ultimately, if you support what they do, then you'll likely back them up. Does the end result justify the means? Well, thats up to the individual.

For me, on the subject of Kony 2012, yes it does.

OK, so the video reeks of sentimentality - find me a charity vid that doesn't. The same ones that show dying children, or tortured animals...

If anything, I'm more happy about the fact that it seems to be unifying a very diverse group of people for a cause that is positive in intent (and course of action)... even if you don't (or I don't) necessarily agree with every little thing.

For 20-somethin years Ugandan man Joseph Kony has lead the Lord's Resistance Army (LRA) which travels around, kidnapping children and forcing them to join his army (yes, children, with loaded guns, often forced to kill their parents if the invading army hasn't already done so).

He's an internationally known terrorist with delusions of religious grandeur who believes what he's doing is 'right'. He's now hiding somewhere in Africa trying to avoid capture.

Cut to 2012 a growing number of people have joined a movement called 'Kony 2012' that wants to make Kony so famous, he'll be trackable and arrested. President Obama recently deployed troops to help in talks over in Africa.

This sudden viral Kony situation is heading towards April 2012 where people all across the globe will be spreading the word to all the places Facebook doesn't.
