My Personal TOP 50 Beyoncé songs [finale]

Hello everybody

I'm brandnew on this forum... member-wise
I' ve read it for about 8 months now and I especially love following chart topics.
So I thought what could be a better way to start posting on here than my very own Beyoncé TOP 50 songs.

As you'd all guessed, I'm a huge B fan, which doesn't mean I won't listen to other artists or styles or kind of musics... I'm just a music fan with a favor for Queen B

I don't wanna compete any other personal Beyoncé charts and hopefully no running charts get offended by this...
as it was very hard to put an order to her list of song this might just represent my stae of mind at the very moment...
I almost love all her songs, so even a No 50 is still great... while a No 55 might not be in my opinion.
I will share these as well (yes, even a Beyoncé album has songs I do skip forward )

Trying to be not too affected by the masterpiece that is "4" I'm gonna start right off and hope some of you enjoy

50. BEAUTIFUL LIAR

A perfect song to start my countdown. The Shakira duet was a huge success in Europe and her first and only No. 1 in Germany. The video was pure hotness and it opened up the way to her B'Day videography.
It's a nice but too-easy-to-forget song of two great talents.




49. DIVA

The female answer to a hustler. Off of the I Am...Sasha Fierce album. It gives all the hood-Beyoncé one needs.




48. VIDEO PHONE

Another hood-feeling song. Didn't like it that much when it first appeared on the IASF album. The video and Remix with Lady Gaga made me listen to the jam a lot more.




47. GREEN LIGHT

Awesome uptempo song produced by the Neptunes. As a matter of fact it's too repetitive from time to time.




46. YES

First song to appear from her debut album. Love the smooth feeling to it and especially the Live performance at Wembley made me love this song even more.

45. WHY DON'T YOU LOVE ME

I've always loved Beyoncé for the fact she released the video just for her fans. What a great way to say Thanks. Also a great success for a exclusive iTunes, then general Bonus song to achieve No. 1 on the Dance charts. Great listen, indeed.




44. CHECK ON IT

Even as a fan I gotta admit this is one of the songs you feel ashamed of nowadays when hearing and singing along to it aloud... yet it was another smash and Billboard No. 1 for Beyoncé so who really cares




43. DANCE FOR YOU

Finally a number from her latest album 4. Another grat example how a video makes one love a song even more. My only problem ever was the lenght of the song.




42. AVE MARIA

I love this song so much. A beautiful ballad which is even more overwhelming when performed live. Only "problem" for me is the fact I don't like listen to it every time of the year because lyric-wise and feeling-wise it is too much related to XMas.




41. 1+1

Putting this song at No. 41 made me realize once more how hard it is to rank Beyoncé songs at all. Such a beautiful, simple but powerfull and loving ballad might deserve better... but there's so much more to come ...still love it

As I said I wanted to give you a taste of what I don't like...

unfortunately every Beyoncé album has at least one song I can't stand... so to give y'all time to get to know my list and stand still myself before entering the TOP 40 I'll think back to her very first solo album and what song I didn't fell in love with that much...



SPEECHLESS

I'll probably get punished for this but I gotta admit, I never liked the song.
Not when she performed it at Wembley.
Not when she performed it at her Experience tour.
I know it gets lots of love... I never understood why... I never understood why it was on so many tour-setlists at all...

Hey, its great to have another Beyonce fan on UKMIX.
I LOVE Why Don't You Love Me and Green Light.
WDYLM is my second favorite song by Beyonce, hopefully my first favorite will be a lot higher on your list.

40. DANGEROUSLY IN LOVE

The title track of her solo debut album is a stunning spectacle when seen live. Previously released on the Destiny's Child album Survivor it hasn't lost any of his charme and beauty.




39. FLAWS AND ALL

As a bonus track of the re-release of B'Day this song blew me away with his honesty and simpleness. And yes... in our eyes she's queen




38. ME, MYSELF AND I

Kind of the first slow jam released as a solo artist she sure sticks to her DC days when it comes to female empowerment.




37. KEEP GIVING YOUR LOVE TO ME

This is one of the first non-album songs making my list. Taken from the Bad Boys II OST and produced my P.Diddy this marks one hot dance and beat orientated banger.




36. STOP SIGN

Sticking to the non-album theme this beautiful ballad marks one unreleased song from the IASF era. First appeared as an early demo it later got reproduced but never made an official appearance on any release…. I wish it did.

KITTY KAT

The weakest song on B’Day (normal and Deluxe). There’s not much to say about it, IMO this might be the worst song Beyoncé ever recorded …one has to be

I love "Speechless" but I agree with "Kitty Kat"! I can't believe she didn't make a video for "Resentment" and yet she did a little treatment for "Kitty Kat".

35. SMASH INTO YOU

The further we go, the harder it gets. Since I knew the "Smack" original version before, I somehow always considered this song as a cover. But as a good song cannot go wrong I always love listening to this beautiful ballad.





34. NAUGHTY GIRL

The last single from the Dangerously In Love era, but for sure not the last on this countdown. I absolute loved the song when the album dropped and always hoped for a single treatment. I didn't get disappointed




33. BACK UP

A Darkchild produced bonus track to the B'Day album. Would have totally fit the original tracklist IMO.




32. RESENTMENT

I remember I had to get into that song when I first listened to it. It definitely grew on me. The only live performance at the I Am Yours show in Las Vegas is flawless and absolutely stunning.




31. SUMMERTIME

I looooove this song. That's my summer jam. The lyrics are so sweet and it's a pure feel-good-kinda-song. It appeared on The Fighting Temptations OST and as a b-side to the Crazy In Love single. The performance at the Wembley concert DVD when they do 2step-dance is one of my favorites of that concert.

Smash Into You is a gorgeous ballad. I love the guitar and her vocal.

Naughty Girl is one of the hottest Bee uptempos that still sounds fresh today IMO. Surprisingly low I must say.

Back Up has great energy and I agree with you that it would totally fit in the original tracklist.

Resentment is a song I used to be obsessed with. I loved, and still do, her big vocals on this song. She puts real emotion in it too.

Summertime - I agree with you! It's a cool summer jam, very feel good.

Naughty Girl is one of the hottest Bee uptempos that still sounds fresh today IMO. Surprisingly low I must say.

For sure it's one of her hottest uptempos. It was really hard finding the correct place for this song, but I found myself skipping it more often... it's like I've had too much of it.
