The hype is gone. Her 4th album will sell like 100K.

^^^ As much as it's sad, objectively speaking, it's true! The sales drop SO drastically from release to release that I can't see much more happening unless she comes from the far side (ie original music, likability factors, changes her sound up, etc.)
"Take A Bow"... Rihanna's ONLY ballad to go #1 on the Hot 100 (also topped the R&B Chart)... Great deed for her most epic ballad!!!

Worldwide sales

Although STWOM (week 10) was not among the 40 listed on the United World Chart
ALBUMS week 3 / 2012 - January 21

STWOM is among the top 50 on MusicCharts.net - #46 sales 20,600

http://www.musicharts.net/index.php?cat=charts&chid=0

Using the figures for 10 weeks from MusiCharts.net the total for STWOM = 1,184,100

Further MusiCharts.net year-end chart shows STWOM #32 with 1,125,800 in 8 weeks.

http://www.musicharts.net/index.php?cat ... 011&chid=0

STWOM was #40 on the year-end United World Chart.

With regard to the lamentations about Susan's sales, to finish #32 or #40 in the world would seem to me to be a successful effort and shows she can sustain a successful career.

Thanks SLiM for this information. Guess the Global chart and Musicharts use different methodologies to determine sales.

Also on the positive side, STWOM in week 10 is 22 in Australia, 16 in New Zealand and 25 in Belgium (VL).

Susan Boyle will be the headline act at the The May show, called 'The World Comes To Windsor', which will be screened on ITV.

A source said: "This show will be a major highlight of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Susan is a huge global star and it's a great booking for such a prestigious event."

Susan needs to get a song writer whos going to write her a song like Rolling in the Deep or Someone like you then she will have all her selling power back, STWOM really flopped hard considering the success of The gift and IDAD

She was a phenomenon I think. She's not gonna have another IDAD...

She needs radio play in the US, but I can't see any stations touching Susan's songs. Just like Babs, Elton, Sting and many others.

You may want to rethink Susan Boyle's demise...

The Stage Musical 'I Dreamed A Dream opened last night and is receiving RAVE 5 STAR reviews - it includes a number of songs from 'Someone To Watch Over Me' along with her previous 2 albums. Can only help with the sales of these, and her next album.

'Hugely Uplifting' 5 Stars:

'One of the Musical Events of the Year' 5 Stars:

'Fantastically Assured' 5 Stars:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/t...le-review.html

'Riveting, the best jukeboxer Musical I have ever seen' 4 out of 5 Stars:
(The Times London - pay to read)

etc, etc.

STWOM seems to be starting back up the charts--on amazon.com, it's 226 up from 543 yesterday. That's after the first week of the musical. Wonder if there will be a significant increase after the other weeks.
