Fantastic!
Chronicle was a great, highly original, movie. I'm surprised that there was just able no promotion for it.

I know i've always wished I had super powers like this, lol.

It's one of those projects when you're like "Why didn't I think of that?"

The movie's message is really dark and powerful, the acting and the special effects were great, despite the relatively low budget.
"Can you feel the heat on my skin?"

Babs was amazing in this one. Even though I saw it many times it always equally funny and entertaining. The race scene is crazy.

Just answered your PM! ;) Really pleased to see another fan! :D I love all of those, Howls Moving Castle was my first one and I've been addicted since. Ponyo was so colourful and amazingly cute, the same goes for Totoro, which is truly magical.

My faves are Nausicaa, Laputa, Spirited Away & Princess Mononoke. 8-)

EDIT : I only have to add that this is one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen. Great and touching story, great acting and on top of that it´s based on true story.

Hmmm, the last week I watched:
This Must Be The Place:bizarre little movie. It was interesting and never boring although I felt it failed to make a lasting impression 6.5/10

ATM: Thriller about 3 people who get trapped into an ATM by a psychopath killer who, bizarrely, would do anything but enter the ATM and kill them. It was OK, although it felt highly predictable 5.5/10

Vanishing On 7th Street: Some bizarre force causes people to just vanish on thin air if only they move away from the dark. The whole town dissapears except a few people. Nice idea and a complete failure in its execution 4/10

Visually this movie is fantastic. The plot was so-so, but I was entertained throughout the whole film! :)

Blondini wrote:Was just on BBC1 - a BBC film that is on catch up services. Really unsettling film, about two sets of parents who go on a Christmas holiday, only to find their kids are turning into murderous little sh*ts.
Hannah Tointon from Hollyoaks is in it and spends most of the time walking around in freezing temparatures dressed like this: Image
:D She's actually a lot better acting than you might expect! Cindy Beale's daughter is in it as a female "Damien", too!

It's a shame Brit horrors aren't given wider releases - this made #10 at UK but could have got further if more screens had shown it. It's easily comparable to the best US shockers.
I Love You, Richard Parker!

Ahhhh I love Miyazaki too! My faves are Mononoke Hme and Nausicaa, truly wonderful films! Laputa, Spirited Away and Totoro were disappointing for me though. His films are also a great way to introduce children to environmental awareness.

^ :D They are all fantastic, surprised you were underwhelmed with those I love all of them, happy Mononoke & Nausicaa are your faves as well! :D

Blondini - I liked "The Children" but found it underwhelming, didn't do much for me apart from a few scenes.

Very disappointing. Didn't like it at all. It's just a bunch of films thrown together and you get this inferior rip-off. It's kinda flopping and I'm not surprised, it's just so unoriginal...
