Bought this today. Liked it on the first listen. Needs to grow on me more though.

So is the chart run #2, #23, #86?
No, it's actually #23 - #86. :x :( The '2' means it's (only) their second week in the charts.
You should give it a listen by the way, it's great!

They were in an unenviable position. Their debut was an instant pop classic. If they had cloned it, they would've been accused of being one trick ponies, and instead they decided to show a different side, and it alienated so many of the pop fans who loved "That's Not My Name" and "Shut Up And Let Me Go".

They also left it far too long to come back, the music scene moves on so fast and they were seen as slightly novelty the first time around anyway so to leave it 4 years is ridiculous.

I agree. I remember when the album was called Kunst and due summer 2010. Maybe it would've done better then.

It seems like they started from scratch after "Hands" flopped but it made things even worse.

The 10-track version of the album is the offer of the day at Play.com for £4.99! :D

I agree! Instead of pushing forward in a new direction, they chickened out and went for the same formula musically.

I have listened to the album a few times and it's okay. Although I have to mention that I never listened to their first record.

Isn't there a little bit of Blondie's "Rapture" in Hit Me Down Sonny?

This is still an amazing album!

Such a good album! :o

"Hit Me Sonny Down" reminds me of the hit singles, very infectious, should be a single I think! :D

They were on Last Call With Carson Daly last night performing Hit Me Down Sunny, thankfully Jules shaved the facial hair off

I love the Bag Riders remix of Silence, it's probably their best song to date. At least in that particular remix. Such tune!

I'd love it if the album version starts as the original but in the middle of the song the remix beat kicks in! it would be more interesting this way imo

This is so good! :o The Tings Tings are so underrated, there are quite a few fantastic songs on here, Silence, Hit Me Down Sonny, Guggenheim, Soul Killing, In Your Life just to name a few. Shame it flopped and I hope they continue to make more music, I loved their first one but with this I can see them becoming real favourites! :D

I'm going to purchase this now as I really love it! :o

I also really like "Hang It Up"! I feel it was a tad to indie though for the mainstream hence why it flopped. ;) I reckon Hit Me Down Sonny or Guggenheim would have made good singles. :D

I agree with almost everything you've written about this album B! I find it flawless, not one bad track! It's even better, as a whole, than their debut - which makes them a very interesting duo to follow in the future! Katie is also one of the sexiest woman I know, I can't stop mentioning it, because just like this album is extremely underrated, so is her beauty!

Yess!!! Dan! Katie is very charming I agree, I love her voice. :D If I was straight I think I would find her sexy as well. :P I just love it, I was dancing my ass off to some of the tracks the other day! I think it is more diverse than their debut and they pull it off, interesting to read such bad critical reviews on it though. :-?

Yes I feel like I am so much more interested in following them now. :D Typical it had to flop though, damn indie 1st single.

Yeah! I was surprised when the bad reviews began pouring down. It's diverse, it's original. Their performance on David Letterman was amazing - watch it if you haven't! ;)
