in fairness, Shane was living on borrowed time considering he was supposed to die in the comics before they enter the farm.

Oh my god they killed Shane! First Desperate Housewives, now this!

The scene with him and Rick was awesome, didn't expect Rick to do that but Shane totally had it coming. It was gonna be either one of them at some stage at the hands of the other one.

Glad the Randall story got ended, guess we'll never know if he was good or bad now though!

Is next week the finale? Can't wait to see what happens in regard to the impending zombie attack

I think they need to get rid of T-Dog. I like Daryl and think he could have a romance with Carol.

What I didn't get is how did Randall and Shane turned into walkers if they didn't get bitten nor scratch? :-?

A good question-- in the comic, and in the Romero films that set many of the typical zombie parameters/ rules, the "zombie virus" is airborne and transmitted through the air to everyone. One doesn't need to be bitten to get the disease. Just dying is enough. Getting bitten just kills you. The virus turns you into a zombie.

That is, all the living characters already are sick. Many think that is what Rick was told by the man at the CDC at the end of season 1: "You're all already infected."

So, even if one dies of natural causes, one will become a zombie unless the brain is destroyed.

Yeah that seems to be the new discovery cos as far as I know everyone previous had died of zombie attack? So in theory Sophia may not have been bitten (I can't remember if she had marks), she may have just died some other way and then woken as a walker.

Sophia had a massive bite wound on her neck/shoulder.

This isn't a new development, remember the two cops when they were trying to dump Randall?

Also, think back to the Season 1 finale. Someone pulled someone back for a second and said something in to their ear. :wink:

I actually was stumped at how they turned into walkers as it has almost always been a bite that people were scared of, almost a 'not the face, not the face' when the walkers would come.

I do love watching the show I just think that the walkers, up close just look like bad make up. The only one that was really vile and scary this season was that bloated thing down the well.

In the chaos of an unfolding zombie apocalypse people wouldn't be stopping to see if the walker that's trying to bite their tits off has any bite wounds on them or not. It wouldn't even cross their minds. As such it's now up to each group of survivors to find out the hard way that everyone is infected and that everyone comes back after they die, regardless of how they die.

You mean Daryl? Still amazed he isn't even in the comics, he's great throughoout the show (not like some others)

Shane finally got what he deserved, he's been thinking about killing Rick ever since he turned up at the old camp outside Atlanta, all he ever cared about was himself

Shocked that he came back to life like Randall just by dying from natural causes, this info won't go down well when they tell the rest of the group!! Next week I guess 13 will become a much smaller number, the minor farm members would be obvious victims, then maybe Carol or T-Dog or will they spring another main character surprise?

Can't believe no one has mentioned Otis's wife, whose name I never remember

I won't get to see this until Friday, but other then Mrs Otis, Jimmy (is that his name?), Beth and Herschel will probably not survive I think, I hope Maggie survives the zombie attack as I want her and Glen to get back together, no doubt they won't stay at the farm after this surely

There is no way Carl will be a goner, they've already got rid of 2 of the main cast members from the 7 shown in the opening credits in the last 2 episodes I can't believe they will do it again (for now), besides we need a character to root against on the show

as for T-Dog shocked he had more than 1 line last week, but he just doesn't do much either give him something to do or just well get rid of him, of the 8 original survivors left he has no real stong connection with any of them

I want Carol, Daryl, Beth and Glen all to survive as they make two good couples. If Lori wasn't pregnant I'd have her pinned as a shock death but she's too fundamental to Rick's motives.

I'm worried for Andrea, now Dale and Shane are dead she feels a bit spare? I see her as a rival for Lori though and I really don't want her dead.

I'd forgotten all about Otis's wife and that other random guy who lives there. I'm sure they'll be goners too - this is the end of the farm. I actually think the survivors will end up setting fire to the house with the walkers in it and then flee?

I want a pure bloodbath either way! The season has been amazing and needs to go out in a blaze of glory.
