10. () Toni Basil - MickeyOutside of Reg Strikes Back and Sleeping With The Past IMO all of Elton's 80s albums are rather disposable except for a few good singles. Jump Up! does have five good songs on it (the two singles plus All Quiet On The Western Front, Dear John and Ball And Chain) so IMO it is pretty average for the era, about the same as 21 At 33, The Fox and Breaking Hearts but certainly better than Leather Jackets and Ice On FireBlondini wrote:^We got Empty Garden eventually but it flopped (#51). It's very high on your chart for a dull song.
Bernie Taupin wasn't keen on the album in retrospect:
In a 2010 Sirius radio special, John's lyricist, Bernie Taupin, called Jump Up! "one of our worst albums," adding "it's a terrible, awful, disposable album, but it had 'Empty Garden' on it, so it's worth it for that one song."
