She seemed so determinate to succeed when she launched "This Groove" and "Let Your Head Go" back in December 2003. It's a shame she gave up too soon. :(

She's my second favourite solo Spice.

Not Such An Innocent Girl is a fantastic pop/R&B song, which only flopped because people are so anti-VB. And it went up against 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head' in one of the most famous chart battles EVER, so of course, everybody was wanting her to lose. For the record, I think 'Not Such An Innocent Girl' is much better than 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head'.

'This Groove' was another excellent song, very R&B sounding and very sexy! And it didn't even chart so badly, so I'm surprised no follow up singles were released and everything just ended.

100% agree. Kylie's song was extremely popular, but I can only hear "Na, na, na, na" endlessly. Plus Victoria had a sophisticated video for "Not Such An Innocent Girl", she really tried hard and was backed by Virgin Records.

It was Top 3, which isn't bad considering many stores were closed around that time. But it didn't sell as expected and the single fell rather quickly on the charts, thus leading to the collapse of Telstar Records, where Victoria had much pressure on.

:o :o :o

I didn't know that she had some fans in here. I was one of the few people who posted in this thread a year ago, hoping for some VB fans to join me.

Anyway, she came out with one of the best solo Spice tracks out there which is "Out of Your Mind" (which was a True Steppers song) but it was brilliant. I think it would have given her a boost in sales if she added it to the Victoria Beckham album. 8-)

I refuse to buy her album because that track isn't on there. It would be an amazing album opener. That song really got me for years and I still love "Out Of Your Mind".

Another stupid chart battle, which she lost.

I didn't like 'Out Of Your Mind' at the time, but it's ok now. It was just hard to accept VB doing garage music!

She was supposed to release new music in 2004 but decided to lay low instead due to her husband shagging Rebecca Loos.

What a waste that she didn't include "Out of Your Mind" in her album! It wasn't that old of a track to be excluded. Older solo tracks were even included in Emma ("What I Am") and Mel B's ("I Want You Back" and "Word Up") albums. :-?

"Word Up" wasn't included on "Hot" probably because of being lowest spice solo single to chart at the time in the UK. But Victoria shattered records in terms of sales, it still holds the record for biggest sales in its first week for a solo spice song (180k) which is HUGE. It even got her a Gold certification. She had an amazing start.

Listening to "I Wish". I liked the live version with Robbie Craig. Should had really been released as 3rd single, it's so hot. Victoria always rocks the R&B vibes.

Oh my god! Victoria Beckham is the epitome of fierce in this footage of the "Wannabe"/"Spice Up Your Life" Medley in the 2012 Olympics! Check her out from the 3:00 mark and you'll see! It wasn't captured in other telecasts! :D :D

^YES! Victoria werked that performance. Although she looked really serious, there was something alluring about her and she exuded confidence.

I discovered VB's solo career a little while ago and I absolutely love Out of Your Mind. It's got such a great instrumental and although it sounds dated, that's exactly why I love it. Oh and the video is pretty good. It's a shame it didn't go number 1 back then. I wish that Dane Bower guy didn't have a verse though because his voice is annoying. Not Such An Innocent Girl is great as well.

VB is the best Spice Girl!! Long live Posh!!

Well, if they didn't lambast her that much, she would have had probably two more albums in the past 10 years.

Anyway, I didn't realize how huge the competition was in being #1 in the UK, if you guys watched the Forever launch interview, they were bombarded with the pressure about beating Westlife's Coast to Coast album, which was released in the boyband's career peak obviously! :o :o :o

And watch Victoria interrupt Mel C with her comment about Westlife's success!

Went back and re-listened to some tracks off of her 2 unreleased albums and she had some GREAT material.
I much prefer the "Come Together" project as it took her in a completely unexpected direction that she actually suited.
Whoever produced her version of "Resentment" deserves major props because she's NEVER sounded better.
Such a pity she has no faith in her talent as a solo artist because she had some great material and was the best dancer out of the Spices and think people would've looked at her very differently if she actually released the previously mentioned material.
Happy endings are just stories that haven't finished yet...
