damn! American Idol seems to do nothing! she should have performed "Ain't Nobody" and release it as next single for Pop! this single would sell the album perfectly!Selfless wrote:8,512 copies sold this week.
Total : 554,719.
Funny how America gave its response to the song, yet you seem confused.Selfless wrote:The song that she performed has very little to no connection to the sales discrease. She didn't slipt, it wasn't lipsynched, it wasn't a bad song... The performance was great and upbeat ! The album sold less when she promoted it, then when it wasn't. That is what's matter, and that's what's questionnable.
Do they need to send more albums to the stores ?
I tend to agree....pop-oriented song ala "Ain't Nobody" would be a good gun in order to accelerate sales of the album and get some digital sales. Urban radios will support next urban single, which still remains essential tool for charting for Mary's urban singles which usually sell nothing digitally.iNewYorker wrote:Funny how America gave its response to the song, yet you seem confused.Selfless wrote:The song that she performed has very little to no connection to the sales discrease. It's the song, not the performance (Promo).
i agree, i don't even like that song, kinda boring! She should have gone with double single: "Ain't Nobody" and "Don't Mind". Final single should be slow one: "Empty Prayers"Selfless wrote:iNewYorker wrote:"Why" won't be a hit. Mary's team needs to pull a "Work That" & scrap the video, don't perform the song, & just forget about it & go with "Don't Mind" as the full next single.OK
Thank you !danbarj wrote:I think "Why" will be a grower and really start to smash urban radio as spring grows. The song fits urban radio for the spring and summer and, therefore, I think it will eventually do well!
I prefer growers and, with the right promotion, should help the album with longevity! I hope she promotes through singles and performances, with discounts, through the end of the year.
