"A Joyful Noise" album will debut in May!

Beth Ditto and Gossip return on May 22nd with their fifth LP, and first since their 2o09 major label debut, Music For Men. Entitled A Joyful Noise, the 11-track effort was produced by Brian Higgins (Kylie Minogue, Pet Shop Boys) and recorded in both Xenomania, Higgins’ studio in England and KBC Studios in Portland, Oregon.

As a first listen, stream the lead single, ”Perfect World”, at the band’s website. It’s also available to download via all digital retailers.

After few listens I really like it. Great tune. Maybe it's more poppy than their other music but the voice is still here.

As always. Beth is amazing singer. I'm sure it will be at leat big in Germany. Their last era was huge there.

Mark Ronson and Brian Higgins are a dream team! This album should have some fantastic moments if they're on board. The lead single is decent, sounds like a real grower - Beth sounds fantastic anyway!

I tgought Gossip are more popular on UKmix to be honest. Their last two albums were great. Great balance between being comercial, pop and rocky enough to be a little bit alternative.
Anyway I can't stop listening to this song it's grower!

I'm not a big fan of Gossip, I only have like 3 songs by them on iTunes, but I REALLY liked this one from the first listen. It reminds me a lot of 'Love To You' by Melanie C which is a good thing in my opinion.

What do you mean better. It's great. It has everything. Beth moves, her scary and beautiful look. Some imperfect world colors and perfect world colors. Love it!

I meant the direction and editing of the video, great scenes and story but somehow looks kinda cheap to me

The video doesn't bother me - I don't listen to the video. I listen to the song, and the song is TOP QUALITY.

I really love this video. It is very well directed imo and edited. One of the best this year.
Maybe gothic theme at the beginning isn't what Gossip fan expect but after all it's something different for them. Same as music. More pop but good.
