16. Turntable (TLC) 2002
Right in the middle of my countdown there is one of the last singles from TLC. Taken from the album 3D this song is a tribute to the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes. It's a beautiful ballad with a great message.

15. Telephone (Lady Gaga & Beyoncé) 2010
Sure to shock some of you, but yes, this only ranks at No 15. It's a great track and one of my favorite Gaga singles but I don't see myself loving this ten years from now. Not like I love the following entries  It's a little annoying from time to time. On a sidenote this marks the first appearance from Beyoncé on this countdown... more to come

Turntable was quite underwhelming.

14. Angel Of Mine (Monica) 1998
Gosh, how I loved Monica back in those days. This beautiful ballad was a single taken from the The Boy Is Mine album and topped the Billboard 100. It's a cover of the Eternal song, and while the song itself is just awesome, I love this production a little more.

Image
13. Cater 2 U (Destiny's Child) 2005
At a good number 13 we're meeting Destiny's Child for the first time on this countdown. The last single off of their Destiny Fulfilled album is a sexy and sensual ballad. It wasn't as successfull as their previous efforts but I feel it always served as a fan favorite... the live performances are epic and pure hotness

-----------------------------------------------------
This batch may show that there are great ballads in Darkchilds list, but I always felt he's best at uptempo and club bangers, so be sure there's so much more to come...

let's get further to the Top 10

12. Scared Of Lonely (Beyoncé) 2008
Following up her old bandmates, a spot further we find Beyoncé with a song from her I Am... Sasha Fierce album. It's a beautiful midtempo and works as a bridge between her double disc concept on IASF, imo. Check out the live performance from the I Am... Yours - Las Vegas concert if you haven't seen it yet.

Image
11. Top Of The World (Brandy) 1998
Right before my Top 10 we find the last of three album roundups for Brandy. Never Say Never marks Brandy's worldwide breakthrough and, as I believe, her first and best work with Darkchild. It is filled with so many great and classic Darkchild productions, I could nearly go ahead and post the whole album... Angel In Disguise, U Don't Know Me, Never Say Never, Happy and Tomorrow...to name a few

Angel of Mine - glad Monica made your list, although I definitely prefer Eternal's version. This one was lacking that something special. It'd be great if 'All Eyes on Me' makes your chart!

Cater 2 U - one of their best, and their very best as a trio.

Top of The World - awesome bass on this one!

Before I'll start my Top 10 I'd like to present y'all some tracks that missed my countdwon. Some songs have been mentioned and some followers were disappointed for not finding some tracks yet
My intention with this countdown was to share some great tunes and productions by Darkchild. To keep it varied I tried to present mostly different artists. Well, for sure that doesn't count for Brandy :D but I figured, since Darkchild was always connected to her in my head, I couldn't miss her albums on this countdown. We're gonna meet some artists again as we go further. My Top 10, for me, is on whole another level than the rest, because every song means something to me and I'm sure every song will still rock my world in several years. That's why the journey so far was more like an introduction of Darkchild's work, still in favourable order, while my Top 10 songs were determined right from the beginning... I'm still switching little things there, as it is so hard. So, before we get there, enjoy some bubbling unders

10. If You Had My Love
Jennifer Lopez
(Album: On The 6)

Year: 1999
Peak US: #1
Peak UK: #4
Peak Germany: #5
There it is, the debut single by Jennifer Lopez. Her introduction to the music scene was my introduction to the summer of 1999. This was my jam back in the day. She couldn't have entered the scene with a better track, I think, since it's still one of her signature hits. The sexy music video is epic. The song made me fan and I am happy that nearly 13 years later, she's still around.

"Telephone" is phenomenal! I think Bey's rap verse is the highlight of the song. :)

Jennifer's "If You Had My Love" is the perfect lead single from On the 6! No one can touch her sultry and sexiness in this video during 1999! :D :D
