Toni Warne won Opportunity Knocks as a child with her cover of Michael Jackson's Ben. It peaked at #50 in 1987. Odd how they didn't mention this. No clip on YT either.

I think Tom's really interested in the power singers - this is a man that peaked during the Elvis/Orbison/Humperdrink/Sinatra years, so it isn't unexpected.

That purple haired woman does need to control her voice though; very all over the place! She reminds me of a woman on American Idol years ago called Lakisha. Amazing voice but got gradually worse as the show went on because she thought it was all about how loud you could go.

I'm seeing mixed response on Twitter. I think the US version is way more impressive/ credible/ entertaining.

I was mainly seeing positive things on my timeline. I've never seen the US version mind but I really like our judging panel!
