Yeah that backfired, don't think they were meant to be buzzed off! What's the point in doing YouTube auditions if they're probably never gonna show them on TV anyway.
Sam Kelly - guitar crooner singing Adele was top trend at start of show. Channel hopped. Really nothing special, IMO. The predictability cancels out any kind of talent they might have for me. We had Michael Collings last year - we have Adele all the frigging time.
Not watched this at all until the last act, he especially was amazing!!! But you just knew he would be when they kept showing the audience beforehand and their reactions, reminded me of the Susan Boyle moment
It was a decent enough opener. Nice to see some different acts than the usual. I really liked the opera lad's voice and agree that his tone is a bit Pavarotti like.
That German guy with the wings made me laugh.
I also liked the chemistry between Cowell and Walliams. Carmen Electra was a rubbish stand in judge though.
I stopped watching the last series because I got bored of it after a few shows, but this series already seems to be an improvement, mainly due to the shake up of the judges panel.
For me though, it's 1-0 to The Voice, though I will be watching both!
I enjoyed it but I find that the shine is taken off acts like Sam Kelly by the sheer fact it's almost certain they won't take off.. not even Ronan Parke did. It's so the wrong show for a guy like him. But it was an absolutely stunning vocal showing - reminded me of a mix of Joshua Radin and Ed Sheeran.
The dancing gays were actually quite lovely in a way, not my usual bag, but I loved Alesha's reaction to it!
The guy with the wings was just odd! But fairly funny.
I loved the welsh choir, actually brought a tear to my eye, was stunning.
Barbara and Bradley really made me laugh.
With Jonathan and Charlotte, I was a bit annoyed. Clearly the guy has a great voice and should be applauded, but why does Simon have to be so rude to people? She was a great singer and worked well with him, he could have put his suggestion for Jonathan to go solo in a much more polite manner rather than crush a girl who, up until then, was on cloud 9 from the crowds reaction and who has done so much good for this boy. Was so glad Alesha made a point of saying she was great too.
Alesha did well i think, her 'I don't play the drums but I know what a drumkit is' moment was great. I liked all the judges actually, though Carmen added nothing.
The guy from last week who sang that "No Name" song might not be able to take part as apparently he was on The Voice Of Ireland and is signed to Universal?
