I'd forgot that, I seem to remember it even saying "from the forthcoming album 'All About U' on the cover of Pop Ya Collar" ?

That's what I read somewhere. Obviously not true but I thought it was funny  Would've been a better title than that. Original, at least.

I thought it was originally called Licorice - or was that just a rumour?
I remember Billboard confirmed that.

Mariah's E=MC2 was titled Sweet Soul Odyssey by HMV before it came out.

I think Beyonce's I Am... Sasha Fierce was rumored to be Virtuoso Intellect
This would have been amazing. Much better than IASF

"All I Ever Wanted" was actually going to be called "Masquerade", but she decided to change it after Britney and P!nk had released albums with similarly-themed titles ("Circus", "Funhouse") not long before.

"Ein Sof" would've been better to be honest. Calling it "American Life" made it seem like the whole album was a political statement, when really it was about spirituality, introspection and James Bond.

Kanye's "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy" was originally called "Good Ass Job" and then "Dark Twisted Fantasy".

Afrodisiac by Brandy was supposed to be named B-Rocka. And R. Kelly usually does not give albums different names but decided to release a whole nother album after all. It happened to his album Loveland, not being released for Chocolate Factory. Or the album Zodiac being unreleased for Love Letter. Or him releasing Write Me Back instead of Black Panties. But he did change "Twelve Play: Fourth Quarter" into "Untitled".

Geri Halliwell's first album was going to be titled 'Schizophrenic' but it ended up being called 'Schizophonic'.

Rihanna's Rated R was originally planned to be called 'Such A F**kin' Lady' but some retailers refused to sell the album under that title hence they changed it

Ein Sof? In she released that, people in the U.S. would be like WTF is that?

I wouldn't mind if she named it after other album tracks like "Intervention" or "Nobody Knows Me".

I remember in late 2002 the buzz was that it would be "Hollywood" instead.
