One of my most favourite producers. Loving the countdown so far. I'd have What About Us a lot higher.

Voted Lose My Breath in the poll :D

9. It's Not Right But It's Okay
Whitney Houston
(Album: My Love Is Your Love)

Year: 1999
Peak US: #4
Peak UK: #3
Peak Germany: #14
The Voice, the late Whitney Houston at No. 9. This song made me a fan in the early 1999. Of course I loved older tracks before, but actually the My Love Is Your Love cd was the first by Whitney I ever bought... after I saw her performing this track at a huge German TV show. When her album dropped I wasn't that impressed with the first single (Heartbreak Hotel) and I already had the Mariah duet on the #1's album. Then It's Not Right was released and that live performance changed everything. I believe it was one of her most modern and R&B influenced singles till then. I absolutely love the album and this song is still one of my favorites from her... except for the overwhelming ballads  ...Anyway, I remember TV playing the video over and over and I couldn't get enough of it. May she rest in peace.

It's Not Right But It's Okay" certainly isn't one of my all-time faves from Whitney, but it's still a great song. Love the R&B sound! :D

Whitney's style in the My Love Is Your Love era is so high fashion, even for her videos, she was on point with her sense of style!

"It's Not Right But It's Okay" is the best song from that album. I honestly think that the album could have debuted a lot higher and this single could have even been #1 in the Hot 100, if they released this first!

8. Sexy
Shawn Desman
(Album: Back For More)

Year: 2003
Peak US: -
Peak UK: -
Peak Germany: -
First of all I gotta say, of course I love me some Jennifer and Whitney quite more than some Mr. Shawn Desman, but this countdown is about great productions and awesome tracks. And this one is amazing  It's originally taken from the movie Honey, where it's just partly played, and was later released on Shawn's Back For More album, as it was unfortunately never released on the Honey Soundtrack. I believe it got the single treatment back in the day, but obviously it didn't chart well or at all. From the moment on, that snippet got played in Honey, I needed to know who the artist and especially this song was. Got me some hard time to find a proper version of it, but once I did, I loved it even more. Can't sit still when it's played, so it had to be in my Top 10
Check it out, if you don't know it: Sexy - video (by the way, the album version is longer than just 2:30, but I couldn't find a video to it)

Shawn Desman is one of the very few male singers on this countdown and he's one of two males in the top 10.... obviously Darkchild works betters with female acts

Expect another surprisingly poll choice miss out on the next posts, which will take me some time, on our way to the top...

7. Déjà Vu
Beyoncé
(Album: B'Day)

Year: 2006
Peak US: #4
Peak UK: #1
Peak Germany: #9
:o This probably will shock most of you, since over 50% voted this song to be my No. 1. Well, it is not, still it was very hard to find the right place on my countdown. Since my No. 1 was determined from the very beginning, I'm lucky your votes didn't impress me that much ;) I guess y'all picked Beyoncé because you already know I'm a big fan of hers, but still, on this countdown she is my No. 7. (We'll meet her again , don't worry  ) It's a great track for sure. When I first heard it back in 2006 I didn't even think of Darkchild in the first place, so I was quite surprised finding out it was him, who produced the song. This song started Beyoncé sophomore solo era, aka as B'Day. It was all about having a good time and the album is filled with up-tempos mostly. Though some people think this era was a huge mess until Irreplaceable was released, I still feel this was a perfect first single choice. ...so, maybe y'all would like to vote again

"Deja Vu" gets a lot of hate but I think it was the right choice for lead single. It's so catchy and the music video's really good too.
