I thought the same as you guys up until a couple of weeks ago, and then it suddenly clicked with me, and now I think it's far better than "The One That Got Away" and "California Gurls". The pulsation in the chorus and the intensity of her anger (be it genuine or not) makes it quite a good little pop song IMO.

I don't mind the song itself although it is pretty simple, but the production is truly mid-2000s Kelly Clarkson/Pink.

I've only just heard this despite hearing about it for months, and it's so forgettable, how the balls did this bag the UK #1? The video's pretty cringeworthy as well, and completely far-fetched.

God, I'm so disappointed... Technically the video is good but it doesn't really go with the song at all.

I agree with those who say the army paid for this video. I mean, it's like an ad! I can imagine te slogan: "if you're lost and heartbroken, joining the army is the solution". What a tacky tactic, especially when they made her singing underneath the American flag as if joining the army is something cool and to be proud of. :evil:

Katy, you're not the kind of girl who promotes these kind of things. :oops:

She has the power to make me like the song even more with the video release! I never liked "E.T.", "Last Friday Night" and "The One That Got Away" but she won me over with the videos and now I love all those songs.

the song is really catchy! i can't believe she released a video that is not matching the song at all...that's not working to boost TD:TCC sales at all!

Sadly, I only liked her first three singles from Teenage Dream in 2010, but I love the whole album now!

Katy desperately needs a choreography to her songs... don`t know how many times she curcled the stage... the stage design, entrance and her look were amazing though. Don`t know why when she`s singing the chorus, the music is so loud and you can barely hear her live singing... :-?

I like this song but why did they choose a song that is so similar in sound to her least successful song from this era, Teenage Dream (which happens to be my jam from this era).
