Jennifer Hudson's album was fantastic IMO... much better than her debut. Another album that was plagued by bad decisions and single choices. :( Mary J. Blige's album was brilliant too. I've liked all her albums but "My Life II" really has that hip-hop vibe that had been missing from her last few albums... and has a real 90s feel about it. The singles were great too.

Two great albums, both very underrated!

Amy's album is the best posthumous album I think I've ever heard. It was just wonderful to hear her voice again on some new songs. "Halftime" is now one of my favourite Amy songs, it's just stunning.

All three albums were in my chart. Glad other people liked them too!

J.Cole <3 His album is an awesome debut. He's so underrated.

I can't believe "F.A.M.E" & "My Life..." didn't make the Top 5! They're 2 of the best albums from 2011.

Surprised to see Talk That Talk that low! :o

The album has been growing on me. It was my #11, but if I could re-send my votes right now, I would place it at my #5. "Talk That Talk", "Roc Me Out" and "We Found Love" were the only tracks that I really liked at the beginning. Now, I love "Talk That Talk", "We Found Love", "Birthday Cake", "Roc Me Out", "Watch N Learn", "Do You Thang" and "Red Lipstick"! Even the very overrated-"Where Have You Been" is growing on me.

Jill Scott should be Top 5.

My favourites were

Beyoncé's "4"
Jill Scott's "The light of the sun"
Marsha Ambrosius' "Late nights and early mornings"

OK let me put my stan mode on. Doo-Wop & Hooligans was my #3. It's such a brilliant record and it just shows that Bruno's voice is so versatile that he can do any kind of record from Rock 'n Roll ("Runaway Baby") to Reggae ("Liquor Store Blues"), from Pop ("Just The Way You Are") to sexy R&B slow jam ("Our First Time").

However, I wasn't really happy with the singles choice. "Just The Way You Are" was one of the biggest songs ever but for some reason, it's one of my least favorites from the album. It's just plain annoying. "Grenade" however, is a brilliant Pop/R&B record. "The Lazy Song" is average but I can see why they decided to release it. I don't see the point of making the video for "Liquor Store Blues" while the label didn't even bother to promote it to Urban. "Man Down" reached the top 10 on the R&B chart and this one could've done the same. And why they released "Runaway Baby" so late? It should've been released first in the UK following his X Factor performance, and then the rest of the world would follow and it would've gotten a bigger boost and probably would've gone to the top 10 after the Grammy performance.

It's just brilliant as a whole album, urgh, I would've put it at #2 if they had released the right singles instead.

Kanye/Jay not in the top 2? *SHOCK*

So, is it really gonna be between Beyonce and Kelly? Unless the rules changed and anyone else were allowed to vote for Adele but I didn't know about that? :o

Seriously? :o IMO Here I Am is not even that good. The only track I can really stand is "Turn It Up" (and "Commander", if you count that). This album is just a disappointment, and I used to stan for her so bad during the first 2 eras.

Nevermind, I'm happy for Kelly and I'm glad Beyonce is #1 once again.

For the first few voters, she was #1 by quite a lead. Then the stans came...

:( Predictable winner. It's a good album but not the best of last year. Sad that Marsha Ambrosius is nowhere to be seen, that was my #1. Nice to see "Here I Am". Not as good as the two versions of "Ms. Kelly" combined for me but better than "Simply Deep".

Thanks for compiling this as ever Plym!

Whoa! Bey slayed the competition. She grabbed them by the wigs and pounded them into the dirt! :o

Anyway, 4 is an R&B/Pop gem of an album, easily my fave Urban record of 2011.

As for Here I Am, it's certainly higher than I expected it to be. "Commander" was, by far, the best track on the album.

Watch The Throne is an album I haven't checked out thoroughly as yet so I can't judge it yet.

Doo-Wops & Hooligans is fantastic, one of my fave albums from a male artist in recent times.

Thanks for running this, Plym! :D
