Trayvon Martin murder case

Even if the boy really hit him or confronted him (probably cause he was scared of the creep following him around), it's not a reason to MURDER him.

Anyway, this seems like an excuse they are now trying to build for him and for their decision not to charge him. Pathetic.

And a murderer who committed racist actions.

Because he is. People are saying 'He's hispanic!' as if hispanic is a race. He is definitely not black hispanic.

But can we get off the race topic, because I think the fact that this is being made about race will be what saves this killer from being properly prosecuted.
Actually, it is not. America has to face it's demons for change. The media is trying to create their own "case" and you have to be careful with "race," but America has accomplished so much in race relations because we face our demons upclose. We're just dealing with a generation who's had their heads in the sand about the realities of others.
That hardly makes sense. I'm African American, of Asian decent, and 'black' by every single modern definition. Yes I am attached to this story because of race issues, but I think the racial tensions are making it cloudy.

If you look at it for what it is, a man stalked and killed a child, then the case would be much simpler and clear. Unfortunately with all these other racial tensions being brought into play it is becoming cloudier and more annoying by the minute.

The media is going to do its job and sensationalize any side of the story to get ratings. But this was a murder, racial profiling, and institutionalized racism committed by the police department who chose not to further investigate this crime.

The case is not simple. It has layers. Zimmerman changed his mind with the dispatcher from meeting the police by the mailboxes, to telling the cops to call him to locate him, because he chose to follow this child after the dispatcher suggested he shouldn't do that. That's one aspect. That's doesn't change the dynamics of why he found Trayvon "suspicious" and why he used the term "coons/goons." It's doesn't explain why the police officers, once again, chose to close a case with a black male who was murdered, when an investigator questioned Zimmerman's story.

I find it odd that white folks like Clay Aiken can see the racial layer, and you can't.

The days are over with me pretending that racism doesn't exist. It's too programmed in the fabric of this nation for it to be gone. We accept pop psychology "belief systems" like "The Secret" but pretend something that has been with this nation for centuries doesn't exist because we don't want trouble or to offend. Truth is truth! Why deny race in this case, when race is all over this case!

What's tripping me out right now is that if people hear someone yelling for help...

...why aren't you immediately going about doing something.

Yes. Someone should call the authorities. But come on...

Aryan hate groups don't care if you have a white parent if another parent isn't. Case in point, Barack Obama.

We've had many "good Samaritans" killed because they chose to help.

Congressman Bobby Rush escorted off House floor for wearing hoodie

Rush, former Blank Panther, wore hoodie in protest of Trayvon Martin case – but was in apparent breach of House decorum

If people have become afraid of doing the right thing, then we are in trouble.

But whatever.

Today, I decided that I'm going to let this go.

I mean...I still care about what's happened here and I would like to see justice served...

...but us human beings cannot administer justice. Not really. Because if they could, it would've either been finished already...

Whether Trayvon was standing his ground, if Trayvon really was some sort of 17 year old monster who deserved to die or if Zimmerman was really defending himself or something is irrelevant now...

All I know is that we'll never know the whole story.

The "witnesses" are few and far between...and the ones who actually were witnesses didn't even see and/or hear the whole thing.

Of the two people who were intimately involved in this crime: one of them is dead and the other cannot be trusted.

Racism isn't just this fly-by-night thing. It seems like it has become fundamental to American society: it's as if this country needs it to function.

Good thing I believe in God. Good thing I believe that everyone will get theirs at the end of the day.

If I didn't, I would have no hope...

Now THIS is breaking.

His claim was that Trayvon broke his nose, left it bloody, and the back of his head was bloody from being slammed on the ground constantly. This is why he is claiming Stand your ground/self defense.

Here is the video of him right after the police took him in from the killing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRXhw9Vim7A

Here's a video of George Zimmerman at the police station.

It's funny though: Zimmerman and the police department collectively said that Martin gave Zimmerman a bloody nose and had bashed the back of his head onto the concrete until Zimmerman started to bleed...

Yet...I see no sign of serious injury.

For a guy who claims that he was beaten bloody and had to defend himself, he sure looks well healed to me.

Either that video was not recorded the night of the Trayvon's death (and that itself would be a huge issue) like it's described to be...

Or George Zimmerman, the Sanford police department and George's father are all lying.

But in all fairness to George, here's a better, more recent picture of him...

Yea, that is a more flattering picture.

I think he's likely going to get away with this due to nepotism having a parent who has ties to the supreme court.

Yeah...I've got the same gut feeling...

But I hope the both of us are wrong. If he gets off (or if he remains free), then I'm pretty sure there will be rioting.

The last thing we need right now is widespread martial law.

I hope Trayvon's family are able to get justice and that scumbag is locked up, even though he deserves to be killed for killing an innocent child imo, things like this anger me, it's unacceptable and the Police people who didn't investigate the crime at the time, should be fired for their lack of corporation.

So earlier the news came out with pictures of trayvon supposedly sticking his middle finger up, and doing other gang related signs.

Turns out the pictures weren't even him.

People are hella reaching right now...they don't even look alike.

The same people who are doing all of this mudslinging will also readily claim that they aren't racist.

And then when you read both the article and the article's comments section on an article such as this: http://www.cnn.com/2012/03/30/us/florid ... index.html.

Man...the world cannot end soon enough...

The incompetent police and the obvious cover up needs to be focused on than this demonizing on Trayvon.

An injustice happened, murder, incompetence, double racism (cops and killer), and cover up.

Justice must happen.

And Trayvon's family MUST file a civil lawsuit.

Further indication of the lies surrounding the racism behind the killer, poluce and the DA... 2 experts confirm the screaming for help and crying are not Zimmerman. Zimmerman said he was the one crying for help...

OT: The lack of posting in this threas compared to the one of a transgender rightfully being disqualified from an all female race and some other threads shows me how lopsided many are on what is important.

Justice for Tray Martin!

The real reason why some people don't want to respond is because they subscribe to the belief that racism doesn't exist, and just want the murder evidence.

Hold on, help is on the way.

Incompetent fools. Labeling this guy as a John Doe in the morge, after he was identified the next day.

Zimmerman is a killer. Sanford police and prosecuters are indirect incompetent killers. Incompetence on all levels.

Trayvon was wearing his hoodie because it was raining according to his father.
