LOL, seems like they're trying to get Madonna down for some reason, but I see what they meant, they are right... I don't care about Madonna being on the dance floor, but sheez... please, release something DECENT for God's sake!

Honey, they are always like that playing the whole "You should release mature responsible stuff because you're a mother/grandmother now" card. Just like what they said about Britney, now Madonna, and even to Christina!!!

What a way to avoid the obvious... even if Aguilera releases CRAP, it's not like Madonna is releasing something decent, most reviews agree on this so it's not me making this up... and that's why her lead single became a total failure in all markets... same is going to happen with the 2nd single sadly...[/b]

The funniest think is that the person uses the professional critic card to validade her/his/ point of view. But, following this line, Christina Aguilera's works are what? Atrocious to say the least? Well, 55/100 for Stripped, and 56/100 for Bionic. Her best effort scored only 69/100.
Im not trying to reduce Christina here, because I like her. What Im doing is proving you that your way to see thinks is, at least, contradictory.
And, yes, some critics almost only writed about her age, not about the music.

At the end of the day, it is about personal opinion, I don't care about critics, but on the other side, using someone's avatar is one of the most childish ways imo, to "attack" someone on a forum.

I never tried to diss jpguy because of her/ his music preferences. Im just saying that his/her way to see thinks justified by professional critics is contradictory.
Using a CA's avatar shows that you like her, what is perfectly fine. He/she thinks Christina is a good artist based on her/his personal taste, not based on what whoelse said, one time her scores arent good.

I don't think MDNA is that bad. Those who hate it see, to be judging it in comparison to Ray Of Light and Like A Prayer and this album isn't "art" like those. For a disposable pop album I think its pretty good and it definitely feels more Madge than Hard Candy.

I don't think this is a masterpiece like Ray Of Light or Like a Prayer...for me it's her Music album of this decade. Quality-wise i'd say they are on par with each other...and considering all the divas last albums, this one is one of the best IMO...it's not art...but i can listen to it from beggining to end without skipping anything...and it's an emotional rollercoaster...it has a bit of everything, and it has something to say, without trying too hard IMO...that's all i ask for an album

While I'm not fond of either single released so far, there's nothing on the album that completely makes me cringe the way Spanish Lesson did, that alone makes this a better album IMO

I so hate these constant comparisons with her previous works....you're all boring: can't you enjoy the album without the need to bring every 2 second ROL into the issue

ROL is amongst the best Pop album in history...most of the albums around not only from Madonna but of the major Pop starlette around these days lost the battles compared to it: I don't think neither Madonna herself will be able to top that album again, do peace with your brain and deal with it: that being said: can we look ahead and move on?

Thanx To Norfolk:

HDD

As many as six debuts will land in next week's Top 15, with Madonna leading the way, the second of at least three weeks for UMG in the #1 slot. Next week, ending 4/8, Nicki Minaj is expected to debut on top. Lionel Richie continues to astound with remarkable, sustained sales. Also note: a year ago, Adele’s 21 was also in the #3 spot, with 94k in sales. Twelve months later, she’s in the same place, this time with between 110-120k as her remarkable story continues. Here's how it looks headed into the weekend:

*Madonna (Interscope) 325-350k
*Lionel Richie (Mercury Nashville) 150-175k

8-) :P

Superstar is the song I'm loving right now. Granted the lyrics aren't the best but she's not trying to be "arty" right now, the song is fun, it serves its purpose.
