Holy crap... what a shock crashout! :o I expected her top 5 at least!

Ever since her debut, Britney has been one of my favourite singers, and she's one I've managed to keep an interest in throughout her career. :D The fact that she's still putting out hits today and still sounding fresh is definitely noteworthy. :D

That's not an excuse for the lack of life or passion... In fact, her kids should "inspire" her to "create" deeper and greater music.

Anyways, she always seemed to be a sweet girl and I am sure if I met her personally I would really like her... but artistically...Hmmm....No.

Everyone's different, is she wants to take a break and be with her kids, then she will. Her life as you know was not the best so she might want to cherish her life with family cause recording an album will take time away from them and I doubt she does

As if people cannot be passionate about what they do even if they have a family.

She was never overly passionate anyways so there's not that much difference.

I wouldn't be so quick to brush off her artistic merit. Britney's always had a hand in creating her own music, a lot of which she decides to not taking writing credits for. And it's also true that she was the mastermind behind the concept for many of her biggest videos ("...Baby One More Time", "Toxic", "Womanizer", etc.)

Now, if you'd said that she's lazy these days, preferring not to promote, you'd have a valid point. I do agree that her eyes sometimes look lifeless, as if she's there but not really there. I think that given all that she's been through, a little less interest in the whole business of promoting and performing is forgivable.

Christina Aguilera
Need to say something about her? Not really, she's the ultimate pop vocalist remainingg in this industry...
Last year she had a joint #1 hit single... hopefully thing will look better for her new album dropping later this year! I can't wait for her to come stronger and better than ever!
:P I just love her in every way possible :) !!
You guys need to hear "La Casa de mi padre"... a new song, incredible artist that sings in English / Spanish, from jazz to rock to soul to pop to dance and cello-driven tunes!
I mean, it's Christina we're talking about for God's sake ;) !!

That being said, she's a great female artist and I pretty much love three quarters of Bionic - didn't deserve to flops so badly!
Sadly I forgot to vote for her!!!
Otherwise she'd be my #1 and I don't know if that could have made a difference on this chart!!
So sad I didn't vote for Aguilera :(

I guess Mariah clearly doesn't know what her priorities are since she has a family now.

Ditto. I thought she would be around #4. I'm quite happy really. There are much better artists above her

:o No way !!!

Britney deserves top 3, Can't believe it :(

She is absolutely my no.1 from the early days, hers bad moments, till today, absolutely beautiful person, so down to earth and sweet. It's unbelievable that the an icon, legend like her is acting like normal person. Her music is absolutely brilliant, she always trying to set some trends with every new album and that's one of the reason why her music is always so damn perfect.

And I completely understand why she showing lack of interest for her music since the breakdown. Her kids are her top priorities okay I know that many others singers with kids are showing great musical interest, but in Britney's case there's a one difference, I assuming that others singers never were in the place in which Britney was when she lost her kids, she was lost in that time and of course that is hard to talk about that these days, i'm pretty sure if she ever speaks about that on hers future albums that will be be top record. So now she have her kids back and she absolutely have right to put everything else on second place and give 110% to her kids. She's giving to kids 110% and still making great music that's enough for me.

#8? Sad day...Oh sad day
Anyway, she's my #1 and always will be. Pop icon, wonderful person and mother. An Artist who brings new trends in music. She was the first mainstream artist who used dubstep in her songs.
Maybe she doesn't have strong voice, maybe she doesn't sing live, but she's an icon and very respectable person

104 ¬ Delta Goodrem ¬ 263 POINTS

I know I can be a little stubborn sometimes
You might say a little righteous and too proud
I just want to find a way to compromise
Cos I believe that we can work things out

I thought I had all the answers never giving in
But baby since you've gone I admit that I was wrong

Delta Lea Goodrem (born in Sydney on November 9, 1984) is a multi-ARIA Award-winning Australian singer-songwriter, classically-trained pianist and Logie Award-winning actress. She was launched into popularity starring as Nina Tucker on the popular television soap opera Neighbours. She has released three number one albums, Innocent Eyes, Mistaken Identity, and Delta, enjoying the second highest number of weeks for an Australian album in the #1 position in Australia and has had eight #1 singles in Australia. Her third album, Delta was released in October 2007, and features the singles In This Life and Believe Again. It was described by Delta herself as “a lot lighter”, and a departure from the dark days of Mistaken Identity. Goodrem has to date achieved eight #1 ARIA singles and multiple UK Top 10 singles. Her debut album, 2003’s Innocent Eyes, made her one of Australia’s highest-selling female recording artists, spending 29 weeks at #1, and selling over a million copies in Australia and 2.5 million worldwide. While 2004’s Mistaken Identity was unable to match the commercial success of its predecessor, it entered the ARIA charts at #1 and gained multi-platinum status. To date, Goodrem has sold 3.5 million albums worldwide. In 2005, she embarked on The Visualise Tour, her debut concert tour of Australia. In 2003, at the age of 18 and amidst her blooming career, Goodrem was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, a form of cancer. She has since made a full recovery and now spends much of her time promoting cancer charities.

103 ¬ Jennifer Hudson ¬ 265 POINTS

Are you a man who loves and cherishes and cares for me?
Is that you? Is that you? Is that you?
Are you a guard in prison maximum security?
Is that you? is that you? Is that you?
do we stay home all the time because you want me to yourself?
Is that you? Is that you? Is that you?
Or am I stay locked away out of fear I'll find someone else?
Is that you Is that you Is that you?

Jennifer Kate Hudson (born September 12, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American singer and actress. She is both an Oscar and Grammy Award winner. She was one of the finalists on the third season of the reality/talent-search television series American Idol. Prior to American Idol, Hudson had worked as a singer and actor aboard cruise ships, but never had any formal musical training. Hudson auditioned for the third season of American Idol in Atlanta, Georgia. She was a member of the first group of semifinalists in the Semifinals. She was not voted through to the final round, although she was brought back on the wild card round and put through as a Top 12 finalist by contest judge Randy Jackson. Jennifer Hudson struggled to gain popularity in the early stages of the live shows, receiving the second-lowest number of votes in two of the first three shows. However, after a change in song choices, she soon became a favorite to win, receiving the highest number of votes in the Top 9 after her performance of Elton John’s “Circle of Life” on April 6, 2004. On April 21, 2004, Hudson became the sixth of the 12 finalists to be voted off the show, finishing the competition in seventh place. Her elimination sparked a lot of controversy, as she was considered one of the front-runners for the title, and was joined in the bottom three by the other two front-runners LaToya London and eventual winner Fantasia Barrino.

aaw Britters, #8 might still be too high, but her last 3 albums were quite good so I'll give her that. Till the world ends is the best song she's ever released. Her first 3 albums were not my cup of tea.. But in 1998 I did dance to Baby one more time too.

Jennifer Hudson blew my mind in Dreamgirls. She outsang Beyoncé by a mile or two. She is one of the greatest singers that never won a casting show.

I love her.. the oscar was more than deserved.

Delta Goodrem is amazing! I loved her first two albums! The sound of her new single is >>>

J Hud is also good, sometimes. Like Christina, she really needs to learn how to use her voice.
