I finished 15th from 27!

After being 2 consecutive months through the last 3 tracks, I made it much better this time.

I enjoyed so many tracks and I was quite schocked Jio considered Romania the best song. I could have sworn on anybody, but not him. It doesn't seem his style.

Particularly impressed in My Crown, the Russian Entry, the Brazilian one. What I liked the most about my number one were the lyrics. Anyway, lots of great songs.

Great presentation jio, but it kept pausing on me/loading all the time, which was frickin' annoying. Probably a bit lengthy too. I don't know whether it's my connection being bad or the site itself...hehe @ the Blast from the Past interlude.

Congrats to Switzerland on the win. Was almost going to be my 12 pointer, but at the last-ish minute, I decided I was in love with the NZ song more.

Thanks to everyone who did give me points, even if my entry wasn't as good as previous ones in your eyes. Don't worry, my April entry is great IMNSHO. I wasn't expecting to be top 10 at all this month and although I suppose 20th isn't really that bad, I was hoping for a slightly better result (around #15). Still won't stop me from presenting some more Aussie hip-hop in the future though!

In case anyone might think I'm being biased by giving NZ douze points for the 2nd month in a row - I'm not. Like all months, I base it purely on merit, regardless of whether I know it already (as I did with Brooke and with the Kids of 88 entry - forgot that this was the song of their's I vaguely liked). Just so happens that IMO NZ had a great entry worthy of my 12 points. BTW, I totally love that song now!

As for the other entries - still don't see the fuss in that Danish one, like last month I didn't think it was that great. Switzerland, however, was great of course, Stefanie's got the kind of female voice I like, plus I'd heard of her before via a previous FSC which (if I recall) she did well in....Lebanon was just a great slice of pop, found Brazil boring tbh and just couldn't get into Greece (sorry George - I wanted to, given what you'd said about the track) & Russia at all. Glad France did well, I thought that was pretty interesting, if a little tough to get into...but I did eventually.

Jio, why do you think Youtube won't accept the video? There are lots of videos with fragments of copyrighted material in them and they have not been banned. I have indeed uploaded videos with pieces of songs/videos and had no problem with them. I think it's worth a try at least.

The problem may have been its length. Perhaps jio's account is not authorized for uploading videos longer than 15 minutes.

And Shelley, no worries, I knew my chorus-less entry would not be everyone's cup of tea. And I'd have normally voted your song had it been any other month!
