Guys, What Presents Do You Like?

A friend of my friend is having a BD soon so we both are figuring out what to present. With guys it's always complicated.

What would you like to get as a presents? What presents do you usually get? And what were the most horrible things anyone ever gave you?

Ladies are welcomed to participate too. :D :D

Well, as a huge fan of various music genres, CDs are something that can make me really happy. Apart from that, things that I also really like are T-shirts with clever slogans or eye-catching illustrations. It's something that I'm able to use any day and makes me think of the friends who gave it to me. :) A nice poster or picture of something that interests me is also something that I consider a nice present. Books are a bit cliché in my opinion. But it all depends on the personality. Personally, I hate to get ties, socks and books. Tickets to a certain event is something I don't really like either, because I rarely have time to attend them but it feels awkward when my friends ask me a few days later if I liked it and how it was.

Money so I can buy and pick out what I like and want myself! Shallow may be but I hate getting something which I hate. I know it's the thought that counts but I just prefer to shop for myself now at this age (22).

For my last birthday I got some really cool presents from my friends, I got the book I've been raving about every time I was at the bookstore, a Starbucks Tumbler (it's a really cool travel coffee mug which you can customize with any picture or drawings or anything you like), I also got a watch and a funny customized T-Shirt :)
In the end it really depends on the person, but with guys it's easier, especially if you want to get them clothes (T-Shirts or hoodies with their favorite bands are a good idea too).

I think think the best thing is a Shirt, watch or some really cool perfume, preferably if it's new and he didn't try it yet but it's close to the one he's using, his favorite chocolate in the side will always make up if he wasn't that thrilled about the present, I know it would to me

Or a book. My favorite book to gift is Emails From An A**Hole.
To get a taste of the book, there's a website - www.dontevenreply.com.

Good luck figuring it out!

Anything with thought.

I hate when people don't think about the gifs they give you. I would rather you write me a letter with thought, than buy me a watch, shirt, or cologne, just because.

I get that. Vouchers, even. I know some peeps are morally offended even by the thought of it, but it depends on how well you know the person, for a start. Some of my mates might see something and go, "yeah, RJ would like that" and grab it. But if they're looking for something and can't find anything, I'd much rather they hooked me up some $$$ or vouchers (hell, I'd settle for a bottle of Jack D) than run the risk of getting something I'm not like.

That said, I like a lotta things... most of my mates would be hard pressed to get me something I couldn't at least find amusing.

BUT, before anyone goes gift-giving, you might wanna check out Why Did You Buy Me That?

Games! Boys love games. Buy him Skyrim, he'll be your best friend forever (although he won't have time to spend with you after playing it).

I'd only be happy about CDs or DVDs.. if you know the person well, it shouldn't be a problem to find something fitting.

I'm a girl, but I wanted to contribute what presents I like

I love getting money. The people who give me money is my Dad and relatives who don't know me that well. I'd rather they give me money so I can buy my own stuff instead of getting a useless present I'd never use. And Dad gives me money so he doesn't have to think

My Mum is the one who buys me actual things for presents cos she knows me better then anybody.

I ask for the same stuff every birthday and Christmas, though:

- Money
- WWE DVDs and merchandise
- Clothes

As for friends, my friends are really weird and we buy each other odd things. One year my best friend got me a game of strip darts as a present

If all else fails and I can't think of a present, get them chocolate or if they drink, alcohol
One for the money, two for the show, I love you honey, I'm ready ready to go...

I think it depends on the person!

But I think these things are always good:

- A nice cologne/perfume
- Accessories like a watch or a nice male bracelet
- Alcohol (but then something nice like a certain cocktail set or a set of different beers from different countries etc.)
- CD/DVD/Videogame/Book

I wouldn't give someone money. That's so boring!
