290.

It's just the old deleted download! Same September date! Unlike Carly which is a completely different package. Presumably we'll get the official UK package in May, still?

^She sings "carry me home tonight" towards the end.

36 Chart Update midweek. (Rainbow Mix 33).

Obviously it will be at least top 12 on Sunday! http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/chart/update/singles

^ It's a grower!

I didn't think this song was special at all either, but it had grown on me so much and now I absolutely love it! :D

I'm surprised so many people don't like We Are You Young at first listen but are crazy about Part Of Me, We Found Love or Starships :o  ...

I mean it's really THE song of the moment and as I wrote in the chart thread before, it's REAL MUSIC 8-) .

You really need to learn that people have tastes, Gotye, fun. and Adele are not everyone's cup of tea.

Whenever an indie act or a critically acclaimed act makes it big, the "this is real music" posts always pop up out of nowhere. It's nothing new.

maybe so, but when every other song that does well is some mindless club anthem, it is a breath of fresh air to see people like fun, Adele, Gotye and other similar acts doing well.

Glad they finally released this in the UK, would have been so stuoid to wait till the original release date in May.

I remember listening to this for the first time after this topic was made and I would have never expected it to become such a massive hit! Very happy for them though, it still sounds epic.

+1

You might think that the taste of people is changing seeing singles with a message and actual substance reaching the top and 2 alternative singles in the top 2... But there are exactly 2 fronts: "Real" music (including Lana Del Rey, Fun., Adele, Gotye, but also Kelly Clarkson, Train, Ed Sheeran) and then there's club music about rocking the clubs, girls and having a good time (including Flo Rida, Taio Cruz, Pitbull, Jason Derulo, Guetta and lately Nicki Minaj)...

I really like this now, took ages to grow on me.

It has an anthemic feel to it, sort of like a Queen song.
