Good charts, Wayne, I'm glad specially for Gossip (amazing tune!!) and Sinéad's "The Wolf Is Getting Married"!
P.S.: I suppose Joan Osborne is charting again because she just released a new album, right? Perhaps she'll make the main list next week!
FLASHPO!NTS ¬
- For the third successive week, The Gossip top the chart; but only just. The competition between the top 2 is the closest of any week yet! The Gossip track is undoubtedly a contender for my song of the year, its just incredible. As for Madonna, I have grown to love some aspects of MDNA - I particularly love the fact that certain songs on there would sit perfectly on Confessions On A Dancefloor, in particular Girl Gone Wild. Trailing that, Gang Bang slips one spot to #3.
o My most played act of the week was by far Michael Kiwanuka; according to Last.FM, he received a massive 349 plays last week, with the gorgeous Home Again leading the pack on 239 plays. His debut album is a solid effort, and well worth a listen for those that haven't yet heard it!
- The biggest climber this week is Kelly Rowland, with the addictive slow jam, Need A Reason. She is trailed by the talented Jojo, who's Touch Down seems to have polarised listeners here, but has actually reinvigorated my interest in the woman [expect her to have an entry on the retro chart next week].
o I've yet to finish the new Joan Osborne album, but of the tracks I've listened to so far, the standout is I Don't Need No Doctor. All being well - as I usually love Joan Osborne's material - expect her to chart some more songs next week.
- Shane Dawson's Superluv reminded me of Adam Lamber material when I first heard it; definitely worth a listen for those that love eccentricity - and by today's standards, it is eccentric. I think this song would work brilliantly for a boyband like One Direction or The Wanted.
o RANDOM FACT: my second most played act of the week is Mr Zip who performed Where Me Keys, Where Me Phone on Britain's Got Talent!
Matthew, the moment I dropped her off - I thought of you! Not even kidding!PosziMC2 wrote:You know Im not here for that Toni drop-off![]()
