This is the only album I've heard that everything is perfect...except the 1st single. Still can' believe she made that mess. Atleast it had a nice video though.

I love "Run The World" too, but I seriously never get all the love for the music video.

It's just plain. Yes, it has a great theme/setting and the director have a great vision of it, but the way they shoot the video from just one camera view just comes out boring, and IMO the scene-transition is too "clear", they should've made it "smoother" but still eye-catching like in "Deja Vu". It's just a let down for me especially after the amazing video teaser.

I really can't at people coming for the video. It is perfection for Beyonce's standards. We've had massive let downs i.e. Sweet Dreams and it's a return to a full budget, an epic storyline and campaign (the likes of which Bee hasn't done for a video), Some of her best dancing and choreo, styling ...the list goes on.

I'd even go so far as to say a lot of other girls/ guys who spew out uptempo's really miss the mark in translating them, this video was perfect and I even remember so many people saying

' RTW is horrible, I watch the video muted'

How often does that happen.

It had great choreo, styling, theme, etc but it was poorly edited and its storyline wasn´t very well used IMO. I prefer SD over RTW as a whole video any day.

The video was epic and the song itself grew on me. I think it's okay but overall this is her worst lead single and it's chart performance showed that.

I think the only low point of the song (the video is just so great) are the lyrics. :-?

I mean, in some parts it falls just so bad, like:

I Think I Need A Barber
None Of These Hoes Can Fade Me :lol:

+ Overall they are not too great, but neither are they stupid like those of some smashes in the charts right now. :wink:

What? The video for RUN THE WORLD is possibly Beyonce at her best.. if it wans't for the epic Crazy in Love, I'd rank it 2nd... but I don't know... everything on that single, performance, choreo, video, clothes, feeling and beat are out of this world... I totally loved it, and yeah.. it's true, MOST PEOPLE hated the song on Youtube, but they all LOVED the video to death and ranked it amongst her best... that couldn't be far from truth..

I really liked this era from begining to end... the videos were epic, the performances were amazing, her vocals, the cover, the visuals and the singles... pretty much everything... even if it was underestimated I still love it

I think RTW got a lot of undeserved hate at the time, her performance of it at the Billboard awards is one of my favourite ever.

I am drinking so posting a lot; I think she got a lot of hate due to the antipathy that grew out of her being the premier artist during IASF and a whole bunch of stans for other, newer artists developed.

I remember thinking 'is every other stanbase just against Beyonce'. It was getting ridiculous. I remember seeing all the dislikes for the RTW video and the hate for it on itunes.

It's like for a song that really didn't get anywhere special, it got a hell of a lot of recognition with the 'haters'.

If it was really that bad they could have said, ha Beyonce failed with that one but it got them so pressed they had to replicate comments etc etc.

^ agree. seriously RTW got 10k review in 1day! it was like record as most reviewed track in 1day lol

other stan base was doing "post bad review" project at that time.

it's just funny that when 3m 4m #1 track didn't have 10k review and RTW got 10k review after 1day.
