I think it's a shame because I can already see what will probably happen. Jessica and Joshua peaked very early and now (even though I want either to win) they'll get overlooked by the artists who have 'really come into their own'. Always happens.

Not necessarily. Scotty was pretty strong throughout all of last season and he still ended up winning. I do agree, though, that it's likely that one of them will be eliminated for "shocker" purposes. Hope it's not Jessica, though. :-?

I'm not bummed about Deandre going, I expected it to be soon. I don't understand why J.Lo loved him so much, his voice was sort of annoying.

I missed last week's show entirely, but I'll catch the whole thing this week so woo :D

Jessica, Joshua and Colton are my favourites.

I'm also sooooo glad there's only one country singer this year. Skylar is my least favourite singer left, I hope she goes soon. She was in the bottom 3 last week, so here's hoping. I don't want another country winner, we need some variety

I think Holly is going next, she's gone consistently downhill in the past few weeks, she's lost it.

As for a "shock" elimination, the judges still have their save, so if Jessica or Joshua end up on the chopping block, they'll probably save them. But they can only save one, and I'd want them to save Jessica more.

That's not really the argument I was going for, Scotty isn't a major talent by any stretch of the imagination. He'll never have a performance on the level Joshua and Jessica have had, thats not bias it's just in terms of his seeming capabilities.

Scotty's seasonw as ridiculous, appararntly for the judges everyone was amazing, they were 'critical' of some of the best talents because they wanted them to do so well yet the average acts got free passes with comments like 'I love what you do man'.

I am so glad they havent used the save as much as Deandre was hot and could sing beautifully he only excelled in one dimension, the slow jam crooner songs IMO.

When they used the save on Casey last year I was disgusted because I knew one of the great acts would go. I am glad they are saving it this year.

Oh my god! I didn't expect Jessica to get the lowest number of votes! I kinda expected that she would be in the bottom three especially with song choices that are unfamiliar to the public (sorry but no one knows Jazmine Sullivan and that song, so the impact with those kinds of performances no matter how brilliant she is at this point would be weak for a talent competition that entails popularity voting). I think the fact that she is also very consistent can be her downfall, because her fans would be complacent that she still stays, because she is rooted by the judges so much.

It's definitely anyone's ball game, and with how Jessica fared (who is in her A game, and probably one of the most consistent singers to grace the stage almost leaving), I have second thoughts if she can even reach the top two! :-?

WTF? Jessica Sanchez gives her best performance since week one and she's bottom on votes?! :o Even more f**cked up than Pia going, the whole bottom three was completely wrong.

I can only imagine nobody knew "Stuttering"? At this rate Phillip or Colton is bound to win

LOOOL @ J-Lo crashing the stage, brilliant

I really admire Jessica's humility. I'm pretty sure she knows that she is really good, I just adore her unassuming attitude especially for someone so young! I remember when Pia went home, and when Fantasia, LaToya London and Jennifer Hudson were all in the bottom three in the same week, pretty much like the scenario of this episode, all of them had a disappointing look in their faces (painting an expression that shows it should have not been them who's at the bottom). I like that she is not expecting anything, despite being one of best vocalists this show has ever had! :D :D :D

The results this week make me so nervous about the outcome of this season! :-? THE 3 BEST WERE IN THE BOTTOM 3! I can't at those votes America! :x I agree it seems like Phillip or Colton might win this thing, which is crazy considering they should have left a long time ago, and there's some serious talent in the competetion! Atleast thank god the judges hadn't used their save before this week on someone who was not worthy for it!

I am so glad they didn't use that save until now. Wow America what are you smoking. Do they want another borefest of Skylar Phillip and Colton just like last years awful winner and runner up.

Coltond eliver's the same performance every week. He's good and would have a good career but not anything different than we've seen from the EMO teen market.

Skylar is just annoying. The performance last week was great but then it's right back to the feisty country songs or heartbreak. Everything she does just comes across so dated and makes her seem 40.

Phillip is fit, great voice but again samey, I mean could you imagine a whole concert of him doing those shouts!?

Hollie has a potentally brilliant voice it just doesn't seem there yet. She is always relying on the power notes rather than having them highlight her voice, they save it.

Joshua is brilliant but he's too extra, all the Fantasia and the 'hah' just come across too camp and church girl ish. Also he looks 35 not 19.

Jessica, oh Jessica, I knew they'd peak her early then keep bigging up the other contestants like they have grown and developed so much. I do love Jennifer Lopez for what she did and the other judges.

Hopefully America takes the wake up call.

I am shocked at the result, and I'd initally wished they'd used the save on Deandre last week.
Although He seemed to get worse as the show went on, he never really found his niche and I think the falsetto was a cover up for the fact he didnt really have much of a mid range.

Thank god they didn't use the save. Hopefully people in America will realise they have to vote her now and she isn't going to breeze through. She's the best thing about the show.

So happy that Jessica is saved, and hello, it's a wake-up call for her too, I mean, she should really sing something that won't alienate people. I like a little of Jazmine Sullivan's music but I didn't really appreciate her performance this week as much as the other performances in the previous weeks she did! You could only imagine how it was for those who watch the show and don't have an idea who Jazmine is! I just hope she learns from this too, because it definitely can give pointers for her even after the competition. :D :D

I agree I have that damn song on my ipod and didn't know what it was lol.

She needs to keep current.

I'm all for her singing a Beyonce ballad like Listen or I care. Their tones are so similar it would be excellent.

I reckon this proves some part of the show is rigged! They just did this to get the save out of the way and they used it on somebody 95% of people won't disagree with. After last year's fiasco with Casey, I dislike the save, they should axe it for next year.

I think the show has lost a LOT of credibility for this. There's no way in HELL Jessica and Joshua were in the bottom 3 for real :-? Elise was the only one they got right.

I went whaaaaaaaaat when it happened. Holly should have been in the bottom 3 and maybe Skylar too, or perhaps Philip.

I loled at the judges crashing the stage during Jessica's performance  And Jennifer's face when Jessica was announced as having to sing

Either America doesn't know talent from their asses or it's rigged.

My opinion on who's left:

Philip - He has a good voice, but he's coasting along, and needs to ramp it up or risk elimination.

Colton - He's hot  He can do all sorts of styles, and he has a great voice. He's a dark horse contender.

Joshua - Uber talented, but he won't win.

Skylar - Boring. Her voice is kinda painful to listen to IMO, and the country songs are getting dull.

Jessica - One of the best voices they've had on Idol to date, she can sing anything.

Elise - Meh, she's alright. Good voice, but her attitude is kinda annoying and I didn't think her You And I performance was that great.

Holly - I reckon she should have gone this week. She's got a good voice, but she can't control it properly.

Me too.

Joshua & Jessica have to stay.
I'll stop watching the show otherwise.

But I really REALLY love Elise. She's most likely leaving today... but that voice gives me life.

A strong week!

For the first round: Hollie was a revelation - her best performance. Colton really performed but it was just a bit odd. Elise gave her best showing in weeks, Phillip I finally thought was really good! Jessica a vocal masterclass (but I would've liked a more climatic ending), I wasn't keen on Skylar this week and Joshua gave it his all.

Second round: Hollie again really strong, Colton was boring. Elise did a good job but some notes were a bit overcooked. I can't bear the way Phillip hunches his shoulders and smiles right into the mic, he never looks comfortable. Jessica showed the maturity in her voice, the grit at the end was awesome. Skylar-by-numbers, Joshua killed it.

Really glad to see the back of Colton, I think he thought he was invincible. Just get rid of Phillip now and it'll be an exciting race, but I really think he's gonna win especially now Colton's gone.

Thank god one of the lessors finally went home! :o  He was not bad, but he should have left the competetion a long time ago! I hope Philips leaves next, and if he doesn't, it should be Hollie or Skylar! Jessica & Joshua have to go futher, and a final with them would be great, and i hope Elise makes it a few more weeks too. I don't want her to go pure rock like Jimmy though! Her voice fits more some soulful songs too! :P I'm very nervous about the final could end up to have Skylar & Philip though!

God I hope Skylar doesn't win. Jimmy Ivine on the results show said she could end up in the final. Seriously, not ANOTHER country singer to win Idol

I was a bit bummed about Colton going, he was nice to look at  and had a great voice.

Let's see, I missed the entirety of the soul performances, so I'm basing this on the recent songs...

Skylar - Boring. I didn't like her Gaga rendition, I think she screeched it and made it boring.

Elise - Her voice is good, but something about her bugs me. She should have gone this week.

Hollie - Or it should have been her. The Adele performance was much better then her usual stuff, but she's lost it.

Jessica - Superb as always. She should win if there's any right in the world :D

Philip - He's the one you now have to watch out for. He could seriously win this. He's an artist and that Usher performance proved he can sing practically anything.

Joshua - I actually missed his performance, but I'm told he was great on both songs :D

I hope Elise or Hollie go this week, even though I want it to be Skylar, but I think she'll make the top 5. I hope she doesn't win though!

Hollie, Jessica, or Joshua. I actually wouldn't have been upset if Colton won but he's gone... Phil needs to go... Like immediately lol. Skylars after him. Elise has a terrible personality so she's probably next.

But my top three Hollie, Jessica, and Joshua. Hollie sang her heart out this week, if she keeps it up she can make it! But Jessica is the best voice of AI history, best voice since Whitney and she's so young, get her dancing, turn her into Beyonce! Lol no seriously!
