So finally I manage to read through all the 44 Pages of this thread. There are some remarks I want to point out.

1. It would be interesting, if there are well-known Hits, which neither charted in German Single nor Album Charts, but in UK Top40/Billboard

2. I am still missing some charts (Single and Album) from the period 1965 to 1969 (and additionally the Album Charts 7.4.1986, 17.12.1990 and 30.5.1994). If someone could help me, please send me a PM

3. Maybe some of you don't know, that starting from September 1958, the magazine "Automatenmarkt" published an additional Top50 Chart, which was a mixture of record sales and music box charts. Already in August 1958, there was a Top20, with Peter Alexander's "Wunderbares Mädchen" having the Pole Position. The First Number One in a German Top50 can be assigned to Peter kraus' song "Hula baby", which was #1 on the September Top50.
Those Charts were included in the magazine on an extra page of tight paper. The October Charts are missing, but from November on it was an addon in each Automatenmarkt.

4. I read the excerpts of Automatenmarkt-Charts of the years 1954/1955. Generally they are okay, but there are some mistakes regarding the Performers of the songs. Just an example "Sh-Boom" was not performed by "Die drei Jacksons" but by Svend Asmussen. This is evident due to the record label, which was published in the charts.

5. It would be interesting to know a good calculation of points for the Top100, which is not overemphasizing the Top10, but can also moderate the points of long-term Chart-appearances...

Greetings, bbm54

Maybe we can post here the complete Automatenmarkt-Charts?

Here you can find 1954 & 1955: http://www.ukmix.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=2101388

but where is 53...

In my opinion this charts are not so official, but other members have another opinion about that.

Indi - Will you please Post as many 'All Time Acts'
Lists', as you can, here? For the German Charts, I
mean?

Singles & Albums Lists - please. (Danke).

Your Lists are the best thing in this Thread.
(No offence to anyone else!).

I find that it is German Album Chart Data that is
not very widespread. Has anyone ever 'converted' the
old Monthly & 2 Weekly German Album Charts into
Weekly ones?

I've seen German Album Chart 'All Time' Points
Lists, but they do not convert the older Charts.
So, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, ABBA, Queen, &
many more Acts, only get 25% to 50% of their Chart
Positions, for the older Charts. And that means that
they also only get 25% to 50% of the Points, for
those Charts, too.

For example, Robbie Williams has a big advantage,
as he has had his German Album Chart success in
the period of the Weekly Charts - so, he loses no
Points.....
