Not as good as a #1 but second best is decent.

Hope there's a proper promo campaign for it though. (Amazon has CD single on pre-order for May 1st)

#2 isn't a disaster - but definitely isn't what I wanted :(

With Carly, she can't make it at #1.
But she's still #2 on iTunes, she will probably have at least a second week in the top3, and she plans to sing it on The Voice.
This single will have what some of her previous singles didn't have : a good chart-run.

I'd rather want a #2 single that has a good chart run than a #1, which disappears quickly. And a #2 spot is a great result nevertheless.

Indeed, she needs longevity. I look at it this way:
- <10 weeks in the top 50 = disappointing/worrying
- 10-15 weeks in the top 50 = good/encouraging
- 16-20 weeks in the top 50 = fantastic
- 21-25 weeks in the top 50 = incredibly unlikely lol

I wish it would have a proper UK release :-? But at least she/her label are keeping up with their promise to release her material in the UK.

I hate that this is on UK iTunes. It should only be put up if she intends to come over and promote it, but she's pretty busy at the moment in Oz so I doubt it.

I really don't like how overly commercial this is, it's like a "let's cast a net as wide as possible to get everybody involved" attempt at a hit. The song isn't bad but it isn't anything amazing, it's just a catchy pop song with none of that emotional Delta magic or twists. It's also the first time I've been disappointed by a Delta lead single. :(

This song and video is just full of love and happiness. It's such a feel-good anthem.

Classic Delta.

I genuinely love this now, it really grew on me, one of my favourite tracks of the year so far.

The first line of the chorus reminds me of this forgotten dance track

Seiously? This song is very Deltaesque, exactly in the same vein as In This Life. Find it quite reminiscent to some of the 'uptempos' from Innocent Eyes like My Big Mistake for instance.

Not a fan of Uncovered unfortunately.

Yes the instrumentals are quite similar, there was some news articles about it here.

Here's one of them.

Having listened to the Arcade Fire tune, there is a similarity in the instrumentals, but not enough to say it's a total rip-off IMO.
