Well, promotion-wise I have to say that MJB gave it her best shot and pushed the album herself!

However, they can't make radio play her like they used to! And that's why this won't reach platinum. But, if she continues to promote and mixes up some discounts in there and promotes "Why" to its target audience (ie NOT American Idol) I think she can climb again!

i agree! the album was way better promoted than two previous ones, especially including sales promotion! Nice to see "Why" going up significantly

The good thing about mary is that she has remained relevant throughout her entire career and she has mantained that this era by "mr wrong" entering top 10 of the ever competive billboard rnb hiphop chart and by selling over 500 000 copies, anything else at this point is a bonus, she has already done well.

She's also a bigger artist... and Brandy has not released her first single/album yet, so we'll see.

But still, My Life II is Mary's first major flop and that's realy sad because it is, to me, the best since TB. SWET was bad and had a better total :cry:
