It's terrifying how much I identiy myself with this line. I've always felt, whenever I met someone that: "Oh. This is nice. But it won't last" . . . Peter Pan could not admit that he'd become a man! 8-)

What I found so amazing with Marina, from the very start, is that she does accesible pop music but with "brain cells" - as I usually describe her. I'm a rock/indie/alternative fan first and foremost, but when pop is good, it can easily be the best genre. The problem is that most pop music today sounds so pointless and empty. This is why I love Marina so much.

Repeating Radioactive now! The song doesn't suit the regular album, soundwise, at all. But it's a hardcore tune allright!!!!!! Glad that they included it on the deluxe!

There once was a time when 80% of pop music was such - the 80's - synth/ new wave etc.
This is the thing i live for. I feel sorry for today's generation.

Hey Big Time Dreamer!! Did you edit that post!? Did not see it before.

I kind of feel sorry for them as well you know! I'm still discovering music from the 80's which fascinates me. It's like more artists didn't feel the pressure to follow any trends back then and that there was more artistic value in what they produced. The brain cell pop is however not extinct, just that it's not mainstream anymore. And the line between rock/indie vs. pop has become so diffuse. And I feel that this line isn't hard to distinguish with Marina's music. Pure Pop indeed!

Happy to see you joining Marina in this era as well! Not a fan of the album version of SR? It's her personal favourite track for this album apparently.
