Actress Meisa Kuroki (23) was rumored to be pregnant when she married singer Jin Akanishi (27) back in February. On April 14th, she sent a fax to several media outlets, officially confirming that she is currently 4-months pregnant!

Kuroki started the message with a brief apology, “After I had pregnancy symptoms, I suffered from poor health frequently. It was my first time experiencing this, and it was a time of uneasiness.” She explained that after getting advice from the doctor, she waited to announce the pregnancy until she was in her stable period.

Kuroki continued, “Right now, I’m both mentally and physically stable. I’m happy and I’m filled with a sense of responsibility for this new life that I’ve been blessed with.” While she is due in mid-October, the actress expressed her joy of becoming a mother saying, ”We want to combine our powers as husband and wife, and pour all our love into this child.”

According to her agency, Kuroki is scheduled to star in the play, ‘Miyazawa Kenji ga Tsutaeru Koto‘, on May 12th and 13th at Setagaya Public Theater. Thereafter, she will go on maternity leave. Kuroki plans to return to work after childbirth, while carefully considering her condition.

Truth be told, I'm SO happy with this tracklist. I never bought the singles so to get them all on the album saves me a lot of money! It's a really great tracklist though because all the old singles are AWESOME. 4 new songs is a little dissapointing I guess, but they'll be great I'm sure =D

Oh! "Higher" Arghhh I love that song.

I think "Sit! Stay! Wait! Down!" is by far the best song this era though. Simply LOVE it.

I hope the tracklist is jiggled around a little though.... not just from new song to old song.

I'm happy with the tracklisting for Namie's album cos I never bothered to download any of her new material when the singles came out :oops:

So I'll just download the album and have them all at once!

And I'm also intrigued by MEG (for obvious reasons :lol:

). I've heard of her, but never heard her music, which artist is she like?

She's one of the Nakata-produced family (w/albums "BEAM", "STEP", "MAVERICK" and greatest hits album, "BEST FLIGHT"), she writes her songs and she's fashionista!

Excited for Namie's upcoming album. BTW anybody else already missing Kumi? I was so use to hearing about a new release every 2 months or so that now things just seem too quiet. I do think it's better for her career sales-wise to wait and build hype for her next release but at the same time I'm already dying for new music and performances.

They're definately doing the right thing - keep moving on, and releasing as much as possible. I loved their Playgirlz album but it didn't go that well in Japan, so it's good they're straight onto the next project.

Perhaps someone can help me here...
I don't follow the Japanese charts regularly but I notice that most Japanese artists sing in Japanese and only very few sing in English (while in other non-Anglistic countries, the percentage of English-singing artists is bigger).
Though most titles are English...

The Japanese language seems to have a bigger importance in Japan than the native language in other countries. During the last couple of years, only 4 international singles reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 and while it happens easier on the Albums Chart, international No.-1-albums still don't happen often there.
