I'm going to watch it right now. I can't believe that she faked her marriage, she even made an MTV special about it I remember. I think it's also one of the reasons why she lost the respect and interest of some fans after Full Moon.

Just finished watching it! So many memories of when she became huge, I didn't know how unhappy she was at her peak, probably we can say the same for a lot of superstars then and now.

From the documentary, it sounds like she didn't like Afrodisiac more than Human. The way she spoke about the Human era was more positive than Afrodisiac.

I always forget she has a daughter who is nearly 10 years old!

To be honest, I've never been a fan of Brandy as a person (comes across as way too desperate and quite stuck up - as a teenager anyway), but her 'Behind The Music' was interesting nonetheless. Although her reaction to the Grammy's win... :roll:

Winning a Grammy or getting nominated during the 1990s and earlier decades was really difficult! I mean, even the biggest female artists like Madonna, Whitney, Janet and Mariah didn't have the moment of sweeping all the awards just like Lauryn Hill, Norah Jones, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé and Adele successfully achieved in the later years because of the heavy competition during the 1990s.

What I realized while watching the documentary is that she couldn't be true to herself and her actions even when she was with her family. I mean, it's one thing to hide and be private about falling in love with an older man, but it's another to hide the truth regarding your pregnancy, much more tell a lie to your fans and supporters. Her mom is her manager, she could have given Brandy advice to stay true about herself and admit her faults and suffer the consequences of her being an unwed pregnant woman, but even to her, she was concerned about the branding and the kid-friendly image of Brandy. I mean, how can you explain to your daughter that you lied to everyone so as to justify the reason of her existence?! :-?

Anyway, this was such an eye-opener for the people (especially for the young) who want to grow up in this business.
