Safe to say he is closer to 35 million than we think. Some very serious numbers there :) ^^^

In related news:

Forbes has announced the five wealthiest Hip Hop artists of 2012.

Deeming the exclusive group "the Forbes Five," the publication names Sean "Diddy" Combs as the richest of the bunch, which also includes Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Bryan "Birdman" Williams and Dr. Dre.

Diddy ranks at the top with a net worth of $550 million, thanks to his investment in Ciroc vodka, his Sean John and Enyce clothing lines, his record label Bad Boy and several startups. Additionally, his cable channel Revolt could make him a billionaire in 2013.

Jay-Z comes in second with $460 million due to the selling of his stake in Rocawear clothing for $204 million in 2007. His business ventures flesh out his net worth, with stakes in the New Jersey Nets, the 40/40 Club chain, his ad firm Translation and more.

Dr. Dre comes in third with $270 million because of his investment in Beats Electronics, while Birdman places at No. 4 with a sum of $125 million to his name. 50 Cent rounds out the list with $110 million in the bank.
Forbes also predicted that Combs will probably be hip-hop's first billionaire - well on his way, it seems.

We are still waiting for any numbers, but in the meantime we have the top 10 + all the debuts. Here is how some of the albums on our own chart did this week:

3) Nicki Minaj – Pink Friday…Roman Reloaded – 81,044 (After 2 weeks – 334,725)

10) Hoodie Allen – All American – 27, 278

17) Trip Lee – Good Life – 21,738

Tyga sold another 10k or so, hovering around the #40 spot on the BB200. So until we get the numbers the top 3 will remain the same, with Nicki at 334k, Tyga at 190k+ and the Project X soundtrack around 80k. Our two newcomers will probably jump in at #9 and #10 respectively, bumping out Tech N9ne and Schoolboy Q in the process (although we've had no numbers for Tech for a few weeks).

Fingers crossed for numbers very soon :)

Wiz Khalifa temporarily surpasses BME - when we get updates for both of them, they should be really close. In the long term Wiz will definitely outsell BME, as he has been doing for the last few months. With his new album coming later this year, i can see this eventually reaching or approaching platinum :)

Tupac's albums and singles see a sales bump in the weeks following his hologram appearance at Coachella.

Following Tupac’s appearance as a hologram at the Coachella 2012 festival, sales have spiked for the late rapper.

According to Billboard.biz, his performance during Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg’s headlining set prompted a re-entry for his Greatest Hits album on the Billboard 200 where his album returns at No. 129 with 4,000 copies sold, a 571 percent increase over the prior week. It’s the first time the LP has made it onto the chart since 2000.

Additionally, his albums All Eyez on Me and Me Against the World also saw a sales bump, moving 2,000 and 1,000 units, respectively.

His tracks “Hail Mary” and “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted,” both of which were performed at Coachella, had increased sales as well. The former cut moved 13,000 downloads last week for a 1,530 percent sales increase, while the latter sold 9,000 units.

sorry for the lack of updates during the past week, it was a busy one for me... If the need arises, I will go back one week to see what we might have missed :)

It's nice to see updates to some old album in the Catalog chart, we rarely get them so might as well appreciate it ;)

On a different note, I don't know about you, but I cannot wait until we get a big release to take over as #1 from Nicki Minaj - that album cover is enough to make me wanna take my own eyes out. That, and the confusing title are surely not helping her sales - in addition to the piles of poor reviews...

Nicki is hot girl, but not hot rapper.
However don't know who's on track to outsell her in near future :-?

I'm very disappointed by this year so far...and I'm not talkin about sales only...I've listened to 29 albums in 2012 (LPs, EPs and Mixtapes) and these ones are the only ones I really liked:

Big K.R.I.T: 4eva N A Day (Mixtape) 8.5/10
ScHoolboy Q: Habits & Contradictions (LP) 8/10
Chiddy Bang: Breakfast (LP) 8-/10
Tech N9ne: Klusterfuk (EP) 7.5/10
Odd Future: The OF Tape (LP) 7+/10
Mac Miller: Macadelic (Mixtape) 7-/10
Wiz Khalifa: Taylor Allderdice (Mixtape) 7-/10

NO MAJOR RELEASES ON THIS LIST!!! OFWGKTA, Chiddy Bang and SHB Q are independent artists...

I'll try to listen to Hoodie Allens, Trip Lees albums and Jadakiss' new mixtape before the end of the week...Hopefully they won't let me down.

OF, Schoolboy Q and BIG Krit are the only ones I **** with from that list... and then let's not forget my man ASAP, who I hope will hurt the hip-hop game in a good way this summer :)

Otherwise albums that could outsell Nicki Minaj are possible here and there - after all she's not really selling well and we have to see how strong the singles are. In all truth, she will not have an easy time reaching platinum this time around. Anyway, here are some albums that will probably do good, although platinum would be a far shot for most of them...

B.O.B. - Clouds (out this week)
50 Cent - Untitled
Eminem - Curtain Call: The Hits (Import) - rerelease
Wiz Khalifa - O.N.I.F.C.
Nas - Life Is Good
Ludacris - Ludaversal
GOOD Music - GOOD Music: The Album
J. Cole - Untitled
Rick Ross - God Forgives, I Don't
T.I. - Trouble Man
Waka Flocka Flame - Triple F Life

All of the above could and should go gold, and I think at least one of them will be good enough to do platinum - maybe Ross, maybe J.Cole or Nas, we'll have to wait. There are a few surprise albums that can potentially go for Gold without anyone expecting them:

Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid in a Mad City
ASAP Rocky - LongLiveA$AP
Big K.R.I.T. - Live From the Underground
2 Chainz - Based on a TRU Story

Also, keep in Mind that Weezy will probably release something this year as well - could be Rebirth 2, could be the Birdman collabo...

What are your thoughts?

There's no way 50 Cent, Nas and Waka Flocka Flame are gonna go Gold. It won't be easy even for B.o.B. (I predict a very low debut for him, between 60k and 80k I would say) and T.I. as well. The other ones should have no problems, with GOOD music going Platinum EASY.

You sure? Well they're jumping on trap music right now and seem to be quite succesful with that, but even that Young Money compilation didn't go platinum and they're clearly bigger atm.

When the Young Money compilation came out, Drake and Nicki Minaj were not as big as now, I'm 100% sure the GOOD music compilation will go Platinum.

But Sean, Cudi, Pusha, Legend, Common aren't exactly as big as Drake and Nicki now, too. But I see that they can attract people, but enough for Platinum? I'm not so sure bout that, but I'd be happy to be wrong with my doubts.

I agree with you, Willypedia. Honestly rap albums suck in 2012 as by now. I even have no desire to listen B.o.B.'s one cause I know it's gonna be crappy pop rap album.
Anticipatin' Big K.R.I.T. major debut, sure it's gonna be hot one. His mixtapes are so damn good.
What about sales, J. Cole, Rick Ross, T.I., Ludacris and Wiz Khalifa will go gold, 50 and Nas maybe too. B.o.B. fails to reach 100k, as expected.
