Emotions - Wow, you ranked it so low. Anyway, I think her whistles really made the song stand out. Went crazy over this song when I was just discovering her!

Reflections (Care Enough) - Isn't that great, but not bad. I'm still wondering why they included this track on The Ballads, and not some other more deserving ballads.

Obsessed - I remember being disappointed as I didn't really like the song at first listen. It was the first time I've anticipated a lead single from MIMI as a new fan. It grew on me eventually though, but I was really surprised on its success on the US charts. I thought it'd completely bomb.

Joy Ride - The first non-single track I've liked from TEOM! I really loved its melody and lyrics, and I don't understand why a lot of people say it's a filler in the album. It shits over all the other ballads from that album IMO except WBT.

Subtle Invitation - Overrated IMO. Okay it's a nice song with all the live instruments, but I don't think it's something special.

Twister - Find it boring.

The One - They should've chosen this song as the 2nd single from Charmbracelet, not that it'd change anything though. But still, I used to love this song to death. Got tired of it easily.

To Be Around You - I like this better than Emotions! Though I don't think this would fare well as a single, it's still one of my fave tracks from the album.

Alone In Love - Not crazy over this song.

Loverboy (Remix) - I love the rap part in the remix, but I still can't get myself to like the song. Something's just completely missing...

So Blessed - Reminds me of Forever but worse.

Without You - Classic! Her best cover!

There's Got To Be A Way - Despite its cheesy lyrics, the vocals are just amazing. I'm literally in awe everytime I listen to that final chorus.

To Be Around You - So fun!

Alone In Love - Nice track...

Loverboy Remix - *sips tea*

So Blessed - Beautiful but Forever is better.

Without You - Classic but i didnt rank it much higher either.

honey, u know i'm 50% of the glitter boys. I couldn't list Loverboy (remix) higher THIS time. It's easily one of my most played tracks of the past 12 years. And video is so much fun, i watch it regularly.

Loverboy (Remix) :

So Blessed : One of the standouts off her second studio album. It's a highlight and definitely one that doesn't make the entire album bland. Deserved a chance as a single.

Without You : This is one of her better covers, though it isn't as epic as some make it out to be. I'm glad it crashed out in the 50s though, but I myself would have definitely ranked it in my top 50.

There's Got To Be A Way : One of my favourites off her debut, and was my jam for a period of time. I love the message of this song, and really deserved a chance in the US as a single.

methinks that someone's looking a bit green with envy ;) aaaaany rate, back to the countdown:

"Loverboy (Remix)" = aw, this poor song seems to get so little love from fans, but it really is a lot of fun! sure, it's no "Fantasy" or "Dreamlover", but it deserves better than No. 61...I'd say Top 30!

"Without You" = wow, usually fans go WILD for this one, so it's actually a pleasant surprise to see it so low for once! I wouldn't be QUITE so harsh (maybe Top 40), but I agree that it's far from being one of her all-time best ballads.

I don't really care for "All I've Ever Wanted".

Anytime You Need A Friend : One of her BEST gospel songs ever and her best gospel song from the '90s. I'm gutted it ranked so low on your countdown as it definitely is a standout of Mariah's career for me.

I'll Be There : One of her best covers ever, and deserves a much higher placing imo. I actually prefer her cover to the original version and this song was what really made me like Mariah.

Breakdown : :o shocked at this placing. I thought it was a massive fan favourite and should rank high on everyone's chart, but alas, I've been proven wrong by the placing of this song on your chart and JSparksFan's.

Last Night A DJ Saved My Life is one of the worst tracks off Glitter.

Sunflowers for Alfred Roy is a cute tribute to her father. I love lyrics, and a standout from Charmbracelet. I'm not sure if its top 55 material though.

We Belong Together (Remix) : This is an awesome remix! So much undeserved hate. I'm not charting remixes in my own countdown, but if I did, it would definitely be quite high.

Peoples, remember this is the Scary Carey Countdown. There are shocks on pretty much every update.

one of the songs that many people find mis-represented in my countdown has another version listed pretty high. So calm down babes.

All I Want For Christmas Is You : One of the modern holiday classics. Surprised it ranked this low. It's by far my favourite Christmas song ever, and it would definitely be higher on my chart.

Don't care about the other two.

:o I was all excited to see "Anytime You Need A Friend" at No. 56...since that one's usually terribly over-rated by fans...but "Breakdown" at No. 54? AIWFCIY at No. 49?? it's criminal, really...

even if "Breakdown" IS the song with another version to chart higher, the album version >>>>>>>>>>>> the Mo' Thugs Remix, so I'm still quite disappointed.

What? I don't even know the meaning of that word. :P

Hmm...Where do I begin?

First off, "All I Want For Christmas Is You" and "Anytime You Need A Friend" are MC classics. Them missing the Top 40 is...for lack of a better word, criminal.

"All My Life", "Say Somethin'", "Breakdown", "Last Night A DJ Saved My Life", and "Sunflowers For Alfred Roy" are all a bit high.

"All I've Ever Wanted" and "I'll Be There" are ranked perfectly, though. :)
