I can't believe I slept on this album for so long. Not one bad song. It really amazes me how this generations Vocal Greats (Aguilera, Beyonce, etc.) can execute dance music in their sleep and it ends up better than anything that artists like Katy Perry, Rihanna, and whoever produce.

Even with all the great dance and disco songs here, they are not even the highlights. Sex for Breakfast is fantastic, and Morning Dessert made me jizz in my pants. The R&B records on this album are pure class.

I am in love, complete complete love. I love her!
So much respect for this album.

This is a repost, but I just can't stop listening to certain tracks.
The sad thing is that so many people have also ignored this album! this album has been judge on its cover, not on its music...which is quite sad for an album!!

Personally, several friends of mine heard it in my car...borrowed it to me...and end up being fans of her! (whereas they were not that much into Aguilera before)...

She changed her hair stylist, her make up artist...let's hope she'll change her managing / communication staff as well!!!

The majority of people I've spoken with about Bionic did actually like the album cover, it was the (in my opinion) crummy first single (and its bizarre video) that put people off giving the album a chance.

This is what happened to me. I judged the album based on the Dance Singles I heard, and how she presented herself during the era. I hate electronic music, and I usually hate R&B unless it's done by people who do it right, like Christina. So I never gave it a try.

I listened to it for the first time tonight after James turned me on to Elastic Love, and I found that most of the songs were not Dance at all they. They we're disco, and then she had fantastic contemporary R&B tracks.

I listened to the whole album straight through and did not dislike any of the songs. Although I won't be listening to the dance tracks again, the disco pop and R&B tracks really stood out for me.

Again, I am in love and almost ashamed that I hadn't heard it four years ago.
Reminiscing about life with smokey eyes.

NMT wasnt a good first single choice imo either.

I think no one knew she was coming back when she released Bionic! I think it was one of those comeback's that fell flat with little to no hype, aside from the negative reception to "Not Myself Tonight", which is of course, very internet-based. Aside from the Movie Awards performance and VH1 special, I don't know if people knew that she was back. No one paid attention to her return to music. :-?

I also think that Bionic is generally, a fantastic album - certainly much better than the most recent albums of Rihanna, Britney, Madonna, Beyonce.

And I don't want to start anything, but had she brought Bionic out, whilst she was judging the Voice, I think its chart performance would've been much different, and people subsequently probably wouldn't have blacklisted her.

Bionic was one of my most played albums of the year.. and I still play some of the songs. The ballads on it are amazing and some of the up-tempos (elastic love) are catchy as hell.

"Bionic" is definitely underrated and so undeserving of what happened to it! The lead single was the problem!

Yeah I don't think it's a bad song but it's pretty messy and the video and performances were strange! If she had kicked the era off with one of the better uptempos on the album things might have been different!

I love Not Myself Tonight but it was a bad leadsingle, the album was described as "futuristic" but she went overly sexy. The video also didn't do any favours towards the project.

But yeah that time was messy anyways, I mean it is quiet a task to do a new album era, your first movie, and also the soundtrack of that movie where you gonna be the main artist on around the same period, while you need focus and balance on all of those things, and going through a divorce.

They should have built some hype at least. Christina was returning from no hype, it's just all of a sudden, her website got an update, and she and her team were announcing a tour out of nowhere.

The thing with Bionic is that Gaga was doing it better at the time, Christina looked desperate and her live performances lifeless. There's one brilliant track in Bionic though.

Gaga was doing it better? :-? really? Nothing on Bionic actually sounds like what Gaga did on The Fame/TFM. I love Both albums but I never understood the comparison, the image of both The Fame and Bionic era has been so much different, it's like comparing an orange to a lemon, both could be classied to a certain degree into the same box, but both have qualities that put them out of that box to.

Christina annouched she was doing a futuristic album already before Gaga came around (Keeps Getting Better etc.), just because the release of her Bionic work was during the Gaga hype, doesn't mean she was desperate. The only comparison's between TF/TFM and Bionic is that they both have clear Madonna influences. The thing was that Christina got the backlash and that media and big part of the public blindly labeled it as "ripping off Gaga" while Gaga basically did the same with Madonna.

Mmmm...... you guys don't realize Christina thought about electronic, "futuristic" music ever since the "Keeps Gettin' Better" era, when actually GAGA wasn't even popular.... I love Bionic, and it's so underrated in every single wAY... and I think "Not Myself Tonight" is a perfect lead single...

If it would've came out a year earlier I think it would came off better. Even though I hate saying this, Gaga's hype and her monsters where to much, and It didn't help that interviewers questioned Xtina about Gaga made her look bitchy (when she probably didn't really know who she was when she did the interview). People like that slob Perez Hilton where hating on her so badly in favor of Gaga. I also heard she wanted the album to be more eletronica (correct me if I'm wrong, I don't listen to that genre), like songs such as Birds of Prey, but her label wanted her to record some more radio friendly songs.

But I appreciate this album because without it, I wouldn't have ever heard #HoodTina/#UrbanTina with WooHoo and Primadonna. :D

I really can't think of Christina performing THE EDGE OF GLORY by LADYGAGA on THE VOICE! I hope it's only hear team! She can sing much better songs with a harder vocal requirement IMO
