Electra Heart is at #6 on Swedish iTunes! I'm surprised that it's so high!? :o Just got my copy and I've ordered the deluxe version as well! :)

Now 4 and 10.

If you remove the compilation albums, she would be 2 and 6. Only Jack White is in her way.

The album might not get to #1 after all then!? Fingers crossed for Marina! Is there any more performances/promotion lined up?

No.

Unfortunately Marina's had to postpone her UK tour, due to commence this Thursday in London, due to urgent doctors orders received today.

Here's the full statement from Marina:

"It is with huge regret that I have had to postpone my UK tour dates due to medical advice. I have been experiencing vocal problems for 3 weeks now and consequently today the Doctor has told me that I cannot sing performance length shows while I undergo treatment, or I could cause permanent damage to my vocal chords.

I am distraught as I was so looking forward to seeing you all on The Lonely Hearts Club tour. The good news is that we have managed to reschedule all the dates - except Leeds which is a festival - starting from the 18th June. I promise that these shows will be the best I have ever performed for you, as hopefully I will be 100% healthy! All existing tickets will be valid for the new dates and I also promise my Leeds Diamonds that I will see them in the Autumn.

As you know, today is the release date for Electra Heart and the people who buy my records and concert tickets mean the world to me. I hope you understand that not being able to play for you in May is very upsetting.

However, together, we will make the rescheduled June Lonely Hearts Club tour unforgettable.

With all my Love,

Marina."

The rescheduled dates are as follows:

June 18th | Norwich | Waterfront
June 20th | Glasgow | ABC
June 21st | Edinburgh | Queens Hall
June 22nd | Manchester | Cathedral
June 24th | Leamington | Assembly Hall
June 25th | London | Tabernacle
June 27th | Cardiff | Corn Exchange
June 29th | Birmingham | Institute
June 30th | Sheffield | Leadmill

Jack White won't be a threat... He had sales of 40k this week, so he should fall to 15-20k next week.
The main contenders are Marina And The Diamonds and Norah Jones. Their last albums both received Gold, so the first-week-sales will have a fourth, so ~ 25k as an approximate value. Norah Jones has been on the decline for her past couple of albums and has no current hit or anything that'd explain a returning popularity, so she should debut with ~ 20k. Marina And The Diamonds is in her 2nd era (still a relatively new and fresh act), plus she has a current top 20 hit, so she could debut with around 30k, which could enable a No.-1-debut!

#2 iTunes! - past Jack White and below a garage comp.

:D (standard still at 10)

Amazon: 7 and 22 (CD chart) - 6 and 21 minus compilations.
Downloads: 10 and 15 (9 and 14 minus compilations).
Norah Jones and Marilyn Manson are both much higher on Amazon's download charts (1 and 3) than iTunes - Jones is top on both but only scraping top 30 iTunes.

Great analysis Timmy! You're right I know! It's just that I'm so nervous. She deserves that top 1 album! And thanks for the constant updates Blondini! I don't have the time myself really, so it's really appreciated!

I'm not sure why it has made that sudden jump, if it's because of the album release or because comercial radio has added it to their playlist - will check it up later. I've only heard it 4-5 times on P3 (similar to BBC Radio 1 I believe).

I'm surprised that the album is holding up so well here in Sweden! She has no current hit and is only known for her top #11 hit with I Am Not A Robot. Go fellow Swedes! :D

Thanks for all the updates (once again) people!
