I don't think she genuinely hates the song. It's like whenever she's doing interviews and they show a clip of her singing in Star Search, she always looks embarrassed. I guess it's because those "innocent" songs/videos remind her of a time when she was younger and less in control of her image and music.

It's like us and our baby pictures. We usually hate showing them to people but deep down inside, we still like them as they capture us in that specific moment of time.
