We don't know how the relationship even ended.

They could have agreed to be friends, and so him going to see her for an appointment might not have seemed like a big deal.

PS: And yes I mentioned it at my work, all my male colleagues were like "ouch" and all my female colleagues were either laughing, either saying stuff like "you go girl". One of them did say she's stupid but only because "she destroyed her practice and reputation for a crappy ex"
