With sales estimated at 125,000 during 2011, and previous sales of 398,000 + 100,000 = 623,000.

The 398k figure - was that for 2008/2009?

I thought that was it...

Its also spent 99 weeks on the UK charts now, according to that document [has it re-entered yet, this year?] - total sales @ 700k represents an amazing achievement.

I wish we'd get an updated figure!!!!

"Let's Talk About Love" is up one position on the 100 best selling albums in SoundScan Era :D But I think "Ropin' the Wind" is still ahead of Celine's album; it's last update was almost 4 years ago!

I hope it will be released at the end of the year.

I can't believe she released only 1 english studio album in the past 8 years... :( an artist that had 8 #1 albums in a few countries between 95 and 99. :( :x

I agree with you but the problem is Caesars Palace. She will need to give more concerts this year and September is blocked by Rod Stewart and the first half of December by Shania Twain. She will give the concerts in October and November. :-?

By the way, isn't she going to release the album practically at the same time of Mariah's new album?

That might be possible but they have pretty different groups of buyers if you ask me. A good percentage of Celine Dion fans probably aren't fond of super-urban/slutty Mariah and then again some lambs might find Celine a bit too AC.

I receive a new release schedule from a major label that has release dates for all the new albums coming out in the next 4 months.

Since it's "Celine Dion TBD" I'm sure the date will change many times.

Does she have any chance to debut at #1 in November? I think the last week of October should be the release week, no later than that.

That way, it will have three peak weeks: the first one, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.

BTW, the "Titanic" effect seems to have been short-lived.

Here's the part of the Paul Greins' latest article where it talks abput Celine's follow-ups albums:

Grade A:

Celine Dion's 1997 album Let's Talk About Love has sold 9,575,000 copies, which is 89% as many as 1996's Falling Into You (10,791,000). Love spawned just one top 10 hit, but it was a monster: "My Heart Will Go On (Love Theme From 'Titanic')." Falling Into You generated three: "Because You Loved Me," "It's All Coming Back To Me Now" and a cover of Eric Carmen's "All By Myself." Let's Talk About Love failed to receive a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year, an award that Falling Into You won.

Grade: C
Celine Dion's 2002 album A New Day Has Come has sold 3,305,000 copies, which is 35% as many as 1997's Let's Talk About Love (9,575,000). The biggest hit from A New Day Has Come was the title track, which peaked at #22. The biggest hit from Let's Talk About Love was the #1 smash "My Heart Will Go On (Love Theme From 'Titanic')." Dion released a Christmas album, a greatest hits album and a compilation in between the two studio albums.

Out of 14 tracks: "Forget Me Not", "Coulda Woulda Shoulda" and "Sorry For Love" were recorded for ANDHC. "Have You Ever Been In Love" was taken from ANDHC. That means 28% of the tracks are from ANDHC.

"Je t'aime encore" is an English version of a song that Goldman may have introduced to Celine on the October 2002 recording sessions of "1 Fille & 4 Types".

"I Know What Love Is" was supposed to be included on "All The Way... A Decade Of Song". We don't know if Celine re-recorded it in 2002/2003.

Almost half of the album is made up of "leftovers".

Anyway, I always liked that it was the first time half of the album was uptempo. A 16-song slow paced record can be too looooooong.
