I love them all from the last two bunches. Especially Get Naked, Cinderella and Womanizer, deserved to be a bit higher! :D

Very aggressive track, that's how you make a comeback!

80. Phonography

Britney has always brilliant bonus tracks.

79. Till The World Ends

I love the Nicki Minaj verse in the remix!

78. I Got That (Boom Boom)

Good song.

77. Get Naked (I Got A Plan)

Of course, of course, but you say it in a way that makes it feel as if I'm one of those LOL...

"Womanizer" at #81? To me, this is to Britney what "We Belong Together" is to Mariah. The song and video were a return to form for Britney and was the perfect kick-off to her epic comeback. I believe this was my #6. :P

Woah, so high on yours... well not surprised. It was an epic comeback but not top 10 worthy IMO, at allllll :D

"Phonography" is a really nice track but I ranked it right around where you did. Nothing too special, in my opinion.

The chorus slays, but yeah I mostly agree :)

I'm not one to fawn over "Till The World Ends" but #79 is beyond harsh. Not only is the song the perfect pre-apocalyptic dance track, it's perfect for the clubs and it's a fun dance track. It was in my Top 20. :P

Well yeah, but knowing my taste, songs made for clubs are usually not my favourites anyway...

"I Got That (Boom Boom)" is almost terrible.

Hmmmm... okay Akini, okay...

Yay! Another one of my Top 20 Britney tracks falls in "Get Naked (I Got A Plan)". To me, the song is super sexy and the way she says, "Get naked, get naked, take it off, take it off" makes me want to actually follow her command. Pretty epic and it's a standout track on Blackout which speaks wonders about it's quality. :P

It useed to be one of my favourites but Blackout is so good overall, hard to rank.. I still love it though :D

I remember you said when I was doing my countdown that a lot of your faves ranked around #50-#80. Our Britney tastes are definitely polarizing.
Well at least our love for her is something we have in common! 8-)

Yes, Womanizer was a perfect song to "comeback" with :D, and I used ot be obsessed with the TTWE remix  Nicki's verse is so funny. As for GN, yes very dark and playful at the same time.. "take it off, take it off". the beat is infectious

"Womanizer" = although I'm glad this revitalized Brit's career, I have always thought it was a bit over-rated (there's definitely better songs on Circus, namely "Unusual You")...but No. 81 is still way too harsh!

"Phonography" = it's not terrible, but above "Womanizer"...?

"Till The World Ends" = wow, looktachu killing off so many fan-favorite-singles! this is actually my least favorite FF single, but still...No. 79 is pretty harsh.

"I Got That (Boom Boom)" = I really can't explain why I like this one as much as I do, but I think it would've been a great single choice! after "Breathe On Me", I'd say it's my second-favorite ITZ album track. so...basically...it's too low. ;)

"Get Naked (I Got A Plan)" = I always skipped over this when I first bought Blackout, the guy part really put me off...but when I saw her perform it on the Circus tour, I got hooked! it's still far from being my favorite Blackout song, but I do have a whole new appreciation for it. like most of this group, too low! ;)

Womanizer: what a great comeback song. At first I was afraid it would get a bit too repetitive and boring but I still absolutely love the song. The video is great too. I kinda miss the "Circus" era. In my opinion it was much better than the Femme Fatale era.

The songs intro is just epic with the sirens. I remember hearing it for the first time and I was so blown away. I would've charted this a bit higher, but she does have better songs. :)

Phonography: Fun pop/urban song. Great bonustrack but not the best (bonus)/track on Circus. I love Beyonce-sounding "Hey's") throughout the song and it's great to sing a long. I'm content with its position but I would've charted Womanizer higher than this!

Till The World Ends: is the smash of the Femme Fatale era. This should've been HUGE worldwide but for some reason it wasn't. My love for this song is huge and it's a great party song. I enjoy the remix even more. Except for Ke$ha's part so I edited a non-ke$ha version of the remix lol, so much better! :D

I think this song deserved to chart higher, but just like womanizer she has got better songs...

I Got That (Boom Boom): a great urban track. I love it, just like the whole In The Zone album. I actually like the shouting from Ying Yang Twins. It makes the song unique in my opinion. I agree that this song makes you wanna dance, it's so fun. I think you've charted this correctly. :)

Get Naked (I Got A Plan): I really was afraid each round to see this one fall and the moment is now unfortunately. This must be one of my all-time favorite Britney songs. It would definitely be in my top 10. The production is amazing. She must work with Danja again. The two of them together is MAGIC! I love the singing from Danja and the song just has such a magical/dark/super sexy vibe. Perfection! 8-)

So sad to see it fall... :(

Overall I'm quite content with the results, except for Get Naked! :P

Epic story btw! So funny!

Geesh, something many people have problems with haha. I bet many people will hate all of my rankings XD

"Phonography" = it's not terrible, but above "Womanizer"...?

Yes, :D

"Till The World Ends" = wow, looktachu killing off so many fan-favorite-singles! this is actually my least favorite FF single, but still...No. 79 is pretty harsh.

I've heard better, but still my jam.

"I Got That (Boom Boom)" = I really can't explain why I like this one as much as I do, but I think it would've been a great single choice! after "Breathe On Me", I'd say it's my second-favorite ITZ album track. so...basically...it's too low. ;)

Wow, your 2nd favourite? :o .... This is great and pretty high to ne only the second song from ITZ out, but woah I never knew you liked ti so much.

"Get Naked (I Got A Plan)" = I always skipped over this when I first bought Blackout, the guy part really put me off...but when I saw her perform it on the Circus tour, I got hooked! it's still far from being my favorite Blackout song, but I do have a whole new appreciation for it. like most of this group, too low! ;)

I went the opposite way. I used to play this a lot, more than a lot of the Blackout tracks and then the others grew on me. There's just too many songs I love :'(
It's hard ranking 100 plus songs when you love about 99% of them!

Noahh wrote:Womanizer: what a great comeback song. At first I was afraid it would get a bit too repetitive and boring but I still absolutely love the song. The video is great too. I kinda miss the "Circus" era. In my opinion it was much better than the Femme Fatale era.

Yeah it was, miles better. I love this song too, though it really had to grow on me.

I like the Kesha in it, she's the main reason I checked it out and eventually got me to being a Britney fan by exploring her music etc...

I think this song deserved to chart higher, but just like womanizer she has got better songs...

:D

I Got That (Boom Boom): a great urban track. I love it, just like the whole In The Zone album. I actually like the shouting from Ying Yang Twins. It makes the song unique in my opinion. I agree that this song makes you wanna dance, it's so fun. I think you've charted this correctly. :)

Sorry about Get Naked haha, it is lovely and I do love the darkness of it, I just like more better haha

76. Seal It With A Kiss
Code: Select all
Another Femme Fatale song falls. This dubstep charged song falls here mostly cause even though it quite good and the melody and lyrics are great, the beat can get exhausting. It's one of those I can only listen to at certain times, but none the less a great track. I like the "oo's"

Image
75. Selfish
Code: Select all
Another FF track, Selfish is a bonus track. I used to skip this all the time since it has a weak start, but eventually it grew on me, and since then I have learned to appreciate it's 5 word chorus. It gets pretty damn catchy when I'm in the right mood.

Image
74. Rock Boy
Code: Select all
Rock Boy is a bonus track from Circus. I really love the beat. It's rock edge adds to this song. Very catchy and some of the melody can get good. The pre chorus is kinda bland but after a couple listens it's good. The chorus was at first underwhelming but after a while, like Selfish, it grew on me.

Image
73. Kill the Lights
Code: Select all
This song has such an epic intro. It gets me in that epic mood. I also love the chorus, a perfect single choice. I love singing this imagining it's my comeback song. It pays ode to the Slave ah ah ah ah's haha. Overall epic track. Love the beat and the music.

Image
72. When I Found You
Code: Select all
The intro noise got me from first listen. Yes, the opening line and maybe the rest of the lyrics are cheesy but she makes this song more mature. The chorus slays my soul and the romantic in me. Overall all around it has everything I like in a cheesy ballad. The line "I found myself when I found you" is so.. sweet. I love the bridge breakdown in the music.  Great track from the Britney album. Very sweet.

R-E-M-I-X-E-S (from the B In The Mix Albums)

Image
10. Someday (I Will Understand) (Hi-Bias Signature Radio Remix)
Code: Select all
Although I ranked the song relatively song I do like it. The remix is one of the standout remixes in my opinion. I love how it's not too long, but enough to keep me entertained. The guitar mixed with dance music is perfect. the chorus sounds way cool too. Even though it's a ballad, it matches this song, cause it's a mid tempo remix and it's celebrating the fact that she had a living creature in her womb. Still sounds sweet and is not all over the place.

Image
9. ...Baby One More Time (Davidson Ospina 2005 Remix)
Code: Select all
The beginning begins with a bam. Then it goes to some sort of just beating which I love to dance to. It's not a boring beat either. I love the piano sounding thing and the electronic sound that is added along with the "oh baby baby". It's definitely dance worthy and what a good remix is supposed to be like. The extra vocal placements were ace too.

ah, sorry, not sure if I was clear there, but when I said "album track" I meant "non-single". "Toxic" and "Everytime" (as well as "Breathe On Me") definitely >>>>>>> "I Got That (Boom Boom)". any rate...

"Seal It With A Kiss" = not bad, just underwhelming. like I said when I commented on "(Drop Dead) Beautiful", there's a lot of songs on FF that aren't great, but aren't terrible either. they're just...fine.

"Selfish" = I like this one a bit more than "Seal It With A Kiss", but it's still not too special. it does have a little something...a quirkiness, something about the chorus...that helps it stand out a bit from the other so-so FF album tracks. "boom boom baby, pick you up in my Mercedes..."

"Rock Boy" = way...way...way too high! definitely the worst Circus-era track, and one of the worst tracks in her entire career. to think you put it above classics like "Sometimes", "Oops!", and "Womanizer"! :x

"Kill The Lights" = hmmm...I like it. not quite the best on Circus, but far from the worst (see above). ;)

"When I Found You" = eh...it's not terrible...but I can understand why it was only a bonus track (it's not even the best of the Britney bonus tracks). the bridge is a real mess.

OMG! This batch has none of my Top 20 Britney songs! Score! 8-)

I've made no secret about my adoration for Femme Fatale and "Seal It With A Kiss" is one of the many strong tracks on the record. The lyrics are hardly anything brilliant but they're so delightfully fun that I just love the track. "Say you're just just a friend, I'm a little liar..."

I'm being a bit of a nitpicker but I'd just like to point out that the chorus for "Selfish" consists of seven words, not five. Either way, this song is another one of the standouts from Femme Fatale. Britney sings with a sort of seductiveness here and there's so much suggestion in her voice that it just kinda puts me in the mood to...well, be a little selfish.

I don't like "Rock Boy"...at all. :P

The intro of "Kill The Lights", as you noted, is fantastic. The first verse is pretty strong and you really think you're headed to an epic chorus which disappointingly turns out to be pretty underwhelming. I think you've actually ranked this one appropriately! :o

Are the lyrics for "When I Found You" sweet? Sure. Is the song great? Not really. It's definitely one of the most skip-worthy tracks on Britney.

Seal It With A Kiss: is one of my least favorites of Femme Fatale. It's still good though since I like every song on the album but there are much better tracks on the album. I absolutely agree with you that this is a song that is nice when you don't listen to it that often. I think you've placed it at the right position! :)

Selfish: is a track I absolutely LOVE. It's such a fun upbeat song. This is a great track to blast in your car in the summer! 8-)

Though, as much as I love it, she has much better songs!

Rock Boy: when I first heard this song I didn't like it at all. So underwhelming. I quite like it now after listening to it a lot, but still it's one of my least favorites from the "Circus" album. It's fun to play it every now and then but nothing more. I would've placed this a little lower, but this position is alright I guess... :P

Kill The Lights: is another Danja smash. It's not as good as some of the songs he produced for "Blackout" but he definitely delivered another pop/urban smash. There are definitely some epic moments in this song. I still play it a lot.

I love the middle 8 in the song:

You're the star now, welcome to the big league
They all want a pic, they all wanna see, see, see
What you're made of... what you're gonna do
Is life gonna get the best of you?

I'm quite content with its position. I maybe would've placed it a bit higher. :)

When I Found You: is okay. Nothing special really. I think it's one of the worst songs from the "Britney era". It's definitely not bad though, but she has much better songs. I think it's ranking is too high!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Remixes:

I love both remixes you've chosen and I'm curious to see the other 8. "And Then We Kiss" better be among them, preferably on top! :P

All in all, great results! :D

I do like the lyrics haha, good though not excellent. Goes well with the song. I think it's definitely not the strongest, but strong, I'll take that.

I'm being a bit of a nitpicker but I'd just like to point out that the chorus for "Selfish" consists of seven words, not five. Either way, this song is another one of the standouts from Femme Fatale. Wow haah I was expecting a rant on this one....and the chorus is actually epic IMO. This whole songs is.. there is just stronger ones. I should post ratings so people know just how much I love songs compared to their positions.

Are the lyrics for "When I Found You" sweet? Sure. Is the song great? Not really. It's definitely one of the most skip-worthy tracks on Britney.

I believe it's an amazing track. Definitely standard edition worthy.

71. Outta This World
Code: Select all
This was a bonus track from Blackout. It starts out all epic with it's little synths and then the beat kicks in. I love the urban melody and all. It's very sweet. I love the chorus vocals. They sound real. It's just very, very sweet. I love sweet, yet mature songs. I love the semi past parts in the pre chorus.

Image
70. Up N' Down
Code: Select all
One of the more single-worthy tracks from Femme Fatale falls here. (aha alliteration!) I love the beat from this track. It's beyond dancable and the "Down and and up and down and up and down" just gets me all the time. It's a nice dance track, but nothing else. I think she has stronger tracks.

Image
69. I Wanna Go

This one might turn some heads. Not only was it a fan favourite, but one of her biggest hits recently. The super infectious I Wanna Go is the second single to go from Femme Fatale. I remember after TTWE, I just wanted more Britney. I decided to randomly check this one out and fell deeply in love with it. I was excited when I heard it was the 3rd single. The music video is epic and it was actually the first time I used someone else but Taylor as my avatar. I love this song so much. The "NRG" thing really works! Refreshing. I just wish the vocals weren't so robotic.

A bonus track, Quicksand lands here. It's a nice ballad from Circus. It's also very dancable but with depth. I love the "qui-qui-qui-quicksand" thing. It works well. The chorus is nice, I wish Britney had some more "ballads" in her latest effort.

67. Hot As ICe
Code: Select all
O love how this starts. The beat and the yeahs. There is also some subtle shade toward XTina with a voice sound alike haha. Well I think so anyway. The verses are alright, this song was never a standout. I do love the music itself though, so that's what makes it s strong. It kinda grew on me, so I like it more now. I do like "twice as nice" thing. Overall nice track, but Blackout has better moments, in my opinion. I do love the paradoxical statements and title though, haha, clever.

66. Girls and Boys

This song, although kinda rare, is not really "unreleased" as it was included in the In The Zone DVD. I really love the sound. It was like the origins of electro pop and at its best. The melody kinda reminds me of And Then We Kiss, but that's not a bad thing. The chorus is fire, and I love the "making love together" line. It was ahead of its time sorta. The little bubble popping beat is nice. Overall strong song, shame it wasn't on the In The Zone CD.

9. Toxic
Code: Select all
This video is considered her best, or one of her best, and I completely agree. The concept is very c;lever and her image is just so iconic and memorable. It goes amazing with the song. This video is just so interesting. I love all of her looks in this. I just love it, though I still don't think it's in her top 5 (obviously) LOL. A tad bit overrated, but nonetheless amazing! I saw The Making Of to this video. Learned  a whole bunch of interesting things! One of her finest and sexiest moments.

And just like that, you're back to knocking down my faves. :P

"Outta This World" is alright but it's not the track that made me want to pick up the deluxe edition of Blackout.

"Up N' Down" is a pretty funky dance number. The chorus is beyond catchy and I'll always remember when Britney's niece, Maddie, covered this song. That was so cute! :D

On first listen, I loathed "I Wanna Go". But by the time it was announced as the third Femme Fatale singer, I was completely in love with it. The music video so vividly brings the song to life and proves yet again why Britney is Pop's ultimate femme fatale.

"Quicksand" above "Womanizer"? Oh, well. It's a nice track but pretty sub-par compared to some other Circus tracks.

"Hot As Ice" is one of my all-time fave non-singles from Britney. I love the lyric, "This ain't no foolishness or f**kery, I'm handling my business, holla if you hear me, can I get a witness?" Epic? You bet your rear end it is.

"Girls and Boys" above "Womanizer"? As you can clearly see, I'm still "hung up" over you "Womanizer" ranking. "Girls and Boys" is naughty but I don't really like it.

Fatal rankings of the batch = "I Wanna Go" + "Hot As Ice"

As for the music videos, "Toxic" the song is pretty great but "Toxic" the video is absolutely phenomenal, one of Britney's definitive videos in a videography filled with brilliance.

Outta This World: is good but the song isn't that special or something in my opinion. The bonus tracks from Blackout were all a bit blah in comparison to the regular tracks. This could've charted a bit lower in my opinion.

Up N' Down: Femme Fatale has the most amazing bonus tracks (deluxe). It's definitely the album of hers with the best quality bonus tracks. I think Britney and her team agree since lots of them were present in the Femme Fatale Tour. Every track could've easily been on the standard edition. "Up N' Down" is a great/fun uptempo song. Definitely among my favorite songs from Femme Fatale! :D

I Wanna Go: wasn't one of my favorites from Femme Fatale initially. I thought it was good but one of the weaker songs. It seemed like everyone loved the song and I remember thinking, what's so special about it. When it became a single I was kinda surprised but when I listened to it more and more I discovered the catchiness of the song. Now I absolutely love it and I'm glad it was a single. The beat, the fun lyrics, the whistle... so addictive! 8-)

I think you've charted this one correctly! :)

Quicksand: Just like Femme Fatale, the Circus album had some amazing bonus tracks. "Quicksand" being one of them! The Fernando Garibay produced track has a great beat and I love Brit's vocals on this song. Not the best song on Circus but VERY enjoyable. #68 is a great position for this! :)

Hot As Ice: OH MY GOD!!!! Horacio, I hope this is a joke...! I can't believe this didn't even make the top 50. It's like... perfect! I was already addicted to this song when it leaked as Cold As Fire and was rumored to be on Blackout. When I heard the final/remastered version I was sold. One of the best songs on Blackout and one of my all time favorite Britney songs. The production is fun, lyrics are fun and for some reason the overautotuned vocals really work in this one. The vibe from this song is amazing. It really makes wanna dance to it! :P

Bummed to see it leaving...

Girls and Boys: is good, but I just don't understand how this charted higher than some other amazing Britney songs that have fallen. It's far from Britney's best but it's a fun song to play every once in a while. It seems to be forgotten by many though!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Toxic (video): I just knew this song would make the video top 10, and I'm glad it did. It really is one of her most iconic music video. No scrap that. It really is one of the most iconic music videos of all time. In my opinion it's not her best and it seems like you agree, so I'm excited to see what videos you've charted higher than this! :)

Overall some good results. The only heartbreaking moment was when I saw that Hot As Ice only made it to #67...

Can't wait to see some more results! :D

It would make me, but yeah not the best :D

That cover was the cutest thing ever!

Woah! Ever since first listen I was HOOKED! SO darn irresistible!

"Quicksand" above "Womanizer"? Oh, well. It's a nice track but pretty sub-par compared to some other Circus tracks.

Quicksand is epic. whatchutalkingbout?

"Hot As Ice" is one of my all-time fave non-singles from Britney. I love the lyric, "This ain't no foolishness or f**kery, I'm handling my business, holla if you hear me, can I get a witness?" Epic? You bet your rear end it is.

Yes it is! Trust me, I know :P I don't dislike it one bit!

"Girls and Boys" above "Womanizer"? As you can clearly see, I'm still "hung up" over you "Womanizer" ranking. "Girls and Boys" is naughty but I don't really like it.

Yes this track is amazing, and apparently underrated.

Fatal rankings of the batch = "I Wanna Go" + "Hot As Ice"

I agree, definitely one of the best videos in the last few years!

Glad you like Quicksand! Pretty epic track, and yes that Toxic video slays many videographies alone.

It's definitely catchy, but not one of my personally favourites, but nowhere near bad at all :D

Weird to see people who weren't' hooked from it since the first listen  ! but great :D glad you like it about the same.

Great! :D and yes the vocals are a highlight here. :D

Well.. it is a joke, it has not fallen yet :) LOL, JK :P sorry to see this upset you haha! Not my intention, I hope other songs will make up for this.

Sorry for the slow updating. I like doing it only when I'm ready so I can do it right and not rushed haha. Also I'm in an unstable part of my lie haha, too much going on. Next batch in the next hour or so :D

65. Circus
Code: Select all
This might turn some heads. The second single and a very successful one becomes the third single to fall from Circus. I used to think this song had nothing to it, it was just repetitive and bland. Later after playing it over and over, I realized how epic it is and how showstopping the chorus is. It can get pretty addictive, definitely appropriate for Britney and it's seen as one of her modern signature tunes.

Image
64. I've Just Begun (Having My Fun)
Code: Select all
The first original song to fall from My Prerogative, I'v Just Begun lands here. It is fun and such a noncheesy empowerment song. I love it, the lyrics and music are so liberating They really had some epic tracks for the Great Hits album! I love the chorus, very well done and the melody is nice! The  sound is like early electro pop, lovely.

Image
63. My Baby
Code: Select all
This used to be one of my favourites from this album. The message is so beautiful and makes me teary sometimes. I love the message to her babies. It's really Sweetney taking over, and the acoustic sound to it is refreshing. Other songs kinda grew on me more but it is still a great track from Circus.

Image
62. Hold It Against Me
Code: Select all
First of all, I would like to apologize to Akini. Akini Morris, I KNOW how much you LOVE this song. It was your #1, and to put it 61 positions lower hurts me more than it hurts you. Now that it's out of the way.. this song is an epic lead single. The dubstep, the melody, the video, and the amazing chorus, IT is just epic! It's a shame it never did any better than it did, oh well.. it reached #1 haha! I was surprised when I saw this at #62, but yes folks, the song that I consider having the best pop chorus of all time, falls at #62.

Image
61. Don't Keep Me Waiting
Code: Select all
Right above the lead single of their parent album, Don't inches up and out-places Hold It Against Me. The rock edge is perfect, I love Rockney!  this song has so much attitude and just too catchy! I think it's very underrated and just fun. I love singing along, and the rock tone and melody sold me from about 50 listens. Yeah, it had to grow on me, but now it;s one of my favourites from Femme Fatale. Femme Fatale is losing a lot quickly.

"Circus" is fantastic, so of course I wish you had ranked it higher. After "Womanizer" and "Oops!...I Did It Again", nothing more can really faze me.

"I've Just Begun (Having My Fun)" and "My Baby" this high? I can't.

Believe it or not, "Don't Keep Me Waiting" is actually one of my faves from Femme Fatale. I would've ranked it higher but whatevs.

Ah, I knew this was coming. "Hold It Against Me" is a very personal song for me because of the video and how it so vividly narrated the ups and downs of Brit's career. The parallels between me and Brit are surprisingly similar and it is such a standout Pop track. That dubstep breakdown gives me life and the music video is probably my fave from her. I can literally go and on about my adoration for "Hold It Against Me" but all my efforts would be futile so I digress. I guess "Piece of Me" and "Stronger" are in the next batch. One of the trinity down, two more to go. :D

Circus - I remember being obssesed with it when it leaked, along with Kill the Lights. Still one of my favorites on Circus and one of her best singles post-breakdown

I've Just Begun (Having My Fun) - Not really epic or amazing, but still one of the best tracks on In the Zone.

My Baby - Meh.

Hold it Against Me - Definetely the best song on Femme Fatale and one of her best first singles. Love this one so much.

Don't Keep Me Waiting - Meh.

Some interesting non-top 100 picks there. I half agree with your choices, "Autumn Goodbye" is truly awful and sounds so so dated and cheap now. Not a fan of many of those other b-sides/bonus tracks from the first two albums.

I really like "Boys" (are you trashing the single mix or the album version, btw? or both?), "Big Fat Bass", "Sometimes", "Lucky" are all grand as well. Not my top ten or anything though, so you're on the right track...
