He is the 1st President of the USA to publicly support GAY MARRIAGE, and Gay causes with this! It's everywhere!

President Obama is endorsing gay marriage, telling ABC News it "should be legal."

"I think same sex couples should be able to get married," Obama told ABC's Good Morning America.

Obama is the first U.S. president t o support gay marriage.

His statement came within a few days of similar comments by Vice President Biden and Education Secretary Arne Duncan, increasing pressure on Obama from gay rights supporters.

ABC News broke into regular programming to deliver the news.

The Good Morning America interview also comes a day after voters North Carolina approved a ban on gay marriage.

The #1 political figure in the world - the most powerful person in the world - openly endorses gay marriage.

Mr Pope - you can do one. Ivana's getting hitched!

A shame that Fox News' website is already incredibly bigoted about it, saying Obama declared "war on marriage".

Maybe if you keep your Bible out of other peoples' bedrooms, others will get their bedrooms out of your bibles.

I'll be there on election day to vote for him. Good job. Enough with prejudice. Let people live and be happy. Gay people is not hurting anyone. People need to mind their onw business.

So what??

It's election year. Obama received a lot of funding (1/6 campaign dollars came from LGBT organizations/donors). What a coincidence that he's coming out in support of it NOW since he had 3 years before hand to do so. He turned his back on the LGBT community keeping quiet about same-sex marriage for 3 YEARS.

He's just another politician trying to get voted back into office.
You're like a bad penny =)

I'm glad the President Of All Americans does it better. It's such a good message he's sending. On the meantime, it's very upsetting that North Carolina voters ban gay marriage.

But at the same time, it is still a controversial stand. You still have politicians like Santorum and Bachmann who use anti-gay bigotry as a tool to attract people. You have people on Fox News claiming he "declared war on marriage", etc.. It is still a controversial stand.

Oh please. I think he's sincere.

I don't support the "marriage term" but I believe people have the right to pursue happiness.

I think Obama is sincere in his stance. At least he's not a hate-monger.

He didn't turn his back on the LGBT community, he just didn't talk about it. There's a difference. He was too busy being the President and fixing other worthy issues with this country. Rallying as the President for Gay Marriage these days is almost like Rallying for the End of Racism. Why the hell is it even an issue?

Now your Governor Rick Perry, who tried and failed at the Presidential bid, signed a pledge to be against gay marriage as the President of the United States before he even got the Presidential bid.

What kind of going out of your way for non-sense move is that?

I believe he's sincere. He's been very supportive towards LGBT equality.

It's really pathetic that this kind of stuff is still an issue. It speaks volumes about the American populace.

How a country that is so developped and diverse can still have so much discrimination (towards all the minorities) is truly mind boggling.
The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud.
